Your journey in Elynd will take you to multiple locations in pursuit of the truth about the Great Flood, the Tidewalkers' prophecy, and a cure for Plastemia. This toxic plastic disease will affect your ability to progress as it can result in hallucinations, migraines, and even death. Thankfully, it can be managed. Here's where to find Ozen in Tides of Tomorrow and the best uses for it.

All Ozen Locations in Tides of Tomorrow

This temporary cure can be found in a few ways, but as rare as Ozen is, you have the option to share it with future Tidewalkers and dying NPCs, or hoard it all for yourself. Do keep in mind that whatever choices you make can affect the Tidewalkers who may decide to follow your Story Seed, so let's look at all the ways to acquire Ozen in Tides of Tomorrow.

Story characters and NPCs

The first way you can acquire Ozen is from NPCs during the main story questline, most notably, you may receive some from Nahe at the start of the game. Kass is another NPC who will give some Ozen during a quest at the Main Outpost, which you'll need to decide whether to keep for yourself or hand out to those in need.

Merchants

Throughout this oceanic planet, players will encounter merchant stores where they can buy Ozen using scraps. As you explore Elynd through story progression, you can use some of the scraps that you've collected to trade with merchants for an Ozen tank.

Donation Boxes

Tides of Tomorrow's online Story Link feature allows other players to follow in your footsteps and create their own journey for more to follow. Along the way, you'll encounter a unique type of chest called Donation Boxes, which proposes that you leave something behind for future Tidewalkers, and you could collect an Ozen tank from the Donation Box.

Ocean Events

Ocean Events are unique experiences that you'll encounter at specific intervals in the game and usually allow players to participate in more trivial activities that can be rewarding. Usually, this includes exchanging dialogue with NPCs, for whom you can give or exchange items for Ozen, which can be of great help later in the game.

Exploration

There are other ways that you can get your hands on Ozen, but some are more hidden than the methods mentioned above. Although doing so can be time-consuming, searching through lockers, garbage bins, vents, and caches could reward you with Ozen or other valuable items, so it helps to search every nook and cranny.

How to Use Ozen in Tides of Tomorrow

Your health (HP) bar is visible on the HUD screen, but due to Plastemia, your health bar will deplete periodically. This only occurs before beginning the next story chapter, when selecting your next destination, of which two HP levels will be consumed by the toxic plastic disease, and this is the best time to use Ozen.

Additionally, if your health bar is extremely low, it would be wise to use some Ozen before progressing with the subsequent objectives or risk death. Other than using Ozen on yourself, you can give Ozen to dying Reclaimer NPCs, which can contribute to your traits, or you can leave one Ozen tank in a Donation Box for a future Tidewalker who may desperately need it!
