How to Find All Secret Levels in Super Meat Boy 3D

Super Meat Boy 3D is a game with many secrets for completionists to find, and this includes 5 secret levels, one for each World. These are found on different levels, and players will know to look out for them as the music will distort as they approach the location. The entrances to secret levels are purple voids. Once found, the secret level becomes available on the map, and completing secret levels in Super Meat Boy 3D unlocks new characters.

At the top of each World, there is a checklist, and the Question mark represents the secret level. Below is a summary of which levels the secret levels can be found on in Super Meat Boy 3D and the rewards they grant.

How To Unlock Secret Level 1

The first secret level in Super Meat Boy 3D is found in the game's very first level. Simply jump to the left, and from this platform, you can jump further to the left, dodging a trap to land at the purple entrance.

How To Beat Secret Level 1

To beat this nostalgic Mario-inspired level, players must free Bandage Girl by collecting all the coins and stars. When one coin in a collection is picked up, a timer will start, meaning all the nearby coins and finally the star must be picked up soon.

How To Unlock Secret Level 2

On the Upwind level, players will fly into the air courtesy of fans. Fairly early on, players will come to the second fan, which is horizontal. Before it, players can climb up the wall next to it and jump into the large pipe, taking players to the game's second secret level. There is a purple glow from within the pipe. Make sure not to land on the rim of the pipe, as the toxic goo will kill you.

How To Beat Secret Level 2

In the Crash Corps secret level, a vehicle with missiles on its back is traveling forward and will not stop for anything. If it collides with the player or any object, it will explode, and players will have to start again.

Therefore, players must clear a path for it by driving into the cargo boxes and buildings ahead, destroying them. The only thing to watch out for is the green goo, which can be driven around or jumped over.

The Forge Secret Level - 10 Pain Production - Beef Gear Tactix

How To Unlock Secret Level 3

After traveling right in the Pain Production level, players will come to a section where they should go around the corner and head away from the camera. However, there is a grinder with a platform above it to the right, and with Nate's double jump, it's possible to get up here. There is then another long jump with more grinders in the way, ultimately leading to the secret level entrance.

Without Nate, there's another way to jump up here, but it will be harder. Nate can be unlocked by finding 40 Bandages.

How To Beat Secret Level 3

In the Beef Gear Tactix level, players take on the role of Squirrel and must dodge the moving lights. This can be done with a combination of quick movements, as well as stopping still as Squirrel hides under a cardboard box, becoming undetectable.

How To Unlock Secret Level 4

On the Ruinous Tunnel level, players will need to complete most of the level, getting up to the difficult part where players jump from wall to wall inside a tower. Here, there is a yellow, stained glass window. Smashing through this with an air-dash leads to the secret level.

How To Beat Secret Level 4

Stepping into the shoes of The Kid, players must dodge the spikes while falling and jumping back up. To succeed, players will want to use their dash and The Kid's double jump.

There's no rush for this level, so take your time and make use of wall jumps to rest.

How To Unlock Secret Level 5

When riding atop a long tram to the right and then jumping onto another that is moving right, players will normally drop down to lower trams, leading to the finish. However, up here, players should hear the music begin to distort, signaling a secret level entrance. Keep riding the small tram to the right, and with Nate, perform a double jump over the grinders. Before being killed by the oncoming cave, jump toward the camera and jump up the metal structure. The secret level waits above.

How To Beat Secret Level 5

To beat Return of the Barrel Boys, players must launch from barrel to barrel, making sure to dodge all the wasps, meaning timing is key. Some of the barrels are also moving, hammering home the timing aspect of Secret Level 5. At the end, after being launched automatically, make sure to jump or dash onto the platform; otherwise, you'll die and have to start again.

Dark World Secret Levels In Super Meat Boy 3D

Dark World levels are also secret, and each world in Super Meat Boy 3D has 15 Dark World levels, mirroring the normal ones, but they are way more difficult. The Dark World levels for each world are unlocked after a single A+ rating is achieved on any level within that world.

There are no Bandages to unlock in Dark World levels, but players can aim for A+ ratings on them. Once the Dark World is unlocked for a world, it can be toggled on and off with a button displayed at the bottom of the screen.
