Before clearing the Angel Comb near the Alien Ruins, you need to upgrade your Sonic Resonator into the Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2. The Feedback Resonator is the only equipment that can destroy the bloom cankers. Without it, you would keep getting notified that "The disease is armored."

When you approach the bloom canker, the infection will close, forbidding the Sonic Resonator from destroying it. With the Feedback Resonator, you can hit from a distance, allowing you to hit the bloom canker while it's open.

After getting the Feedback Resonator, it's time to get the Axum Vision Adaptation by reaching the three infestation areas around the Angel Comb. To reach the first Infestation area, start from the Alien Ruins location. If you don't know the Alien Ruins or the Angel Comb locations, you can track them from the inventory by clicking on the Signals tab. You also need your Tadpole to go deeper than 300 meters, so make sure to upgrade it first.
