In Subnautica 2, Acidic Raion Pouch can be harvested from an organism called the Acid Raion, a large plant-based organism that consists of bright purple “leaves” with a wrinkled texture similar to human brains, surrounding a solitary stem topped with a green bulb.

Acid Raions typically grow inside underground caves and rock formations in the area surrounding the Lifepod. Look for holes in the ocean floor and dive into them to find and harvest Acidic Raion Pouches. The shallow waters directly underneath the Lifepod are full of these rock formations.

The Acidic Raion Pouch is the “brain” part of the Acid Raion, and it can be cut off from the main body by using the Survival Multitool. Each Acid Raion contains three Acidic Raion Pouches.

Acidic Raion Pouch in Subnautica 2 medical gel sac

The central “green bulb” is the Medical Gel Sac, which you can simply pluck off the body using your hand. The main stem of the Acid Raion is non-harvestable, and it stays in place even after everything else has been picked off. The Acidic Raion Pouches and the Medical Gel Sac will regrow over time over the same base organism.

The Medical Gel Sac can be consumed directly to recover health, or processed into a First Aid Kit at a Fabricator. This will serve as your main healing item in the early hours of Subnautica 2.
