The latest offering from the Free-to-Keep promotion held by Steam is a game from 2023 with platformer action gameplay and a sci-fi adventure story, one with 94% Very Positive reviews, and users will have a limited time to grab the game, Gravity Circuit, completely for free. Steam users can use Valve's platform to claim this game completely free of charge until June 14.
For those who are not aware, Steam's Free-to-Keep promotion periodically makes paid games ranging from indies to AAA titles completely free of charge for users to claim and keep forever. Since the -100% sales are arranged by publishers, the promotion often ranges dramatically in terms of offerings, with Path of Exile 2's free-to-play period increasing its player numbers massively. Path of Exile 2 is only available in early access via purchased packs on Grinding Gear Games' website, whereas fans can now try it (and keep it) completely for free. Normally, Gravity Circuit is $16.99 on Steam, so now is a great chance to get the game without spending a penny.

Gravity Circuit is described as a flashy 2D action platformer, akin to classic SNES games and other consoles of that era, maybe even arcade games. This is fundamentally an old-school platformer with lots of action on screen, filled with nostalgic pixel art designs for the main character(s), enemies, and maps. The single-player campaign features 12 stages, and players are tasked with beating an array of sentient robots, the Virus Army, using Kai's punches and combos.

The recent reviews for Gravity Circuit sit at 94% Very Positive on Steam, but the game's overall reviews have even better scores at 95% Overwhelmingly Positive out of 2,077 reviews, as opposed to the recent 34. Not only that, but the game also has an 89 on Metacritic, which is nothing to scoff at. Currently, the soundtrack is also available as a paid DLC for $1.99 if fans want to grab it alongside the game itself. Reminiscent of some of the best 90s platformers, Gravity Circuit can be a very fun, arcade-style game to play in one sitting or shorter sessions.
There is also more good news for those who like Gravity Circuit, as the developers at Domesticated Ant Games and PID Games have announced a sequel just one hour ago, as of the time of writing, titled Gravity Circuit 2. The game will be playable as either Kai, the Gravity Circuit, from the first game, or as Cable, the Power Circuit. It's currently scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, Switch, and PS5 and published by Dear Villagers. Dear Villagers also published a different platformer game on Steam, called Nocturnal, in 2023.
Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion Has Three More Games Available Right Now
Not everyone may be interested in platformer games, but Steam's Free-to-Keep promotion has more up its sleeve. Users can currently claim three different games if Gravity Circuit is not up players' alley. There is the aforementioned Path of Exile 2, which is currently free for players to try and keep, and then two indie games that Steam users may find more to their liking.
