Solo Leveling has become a globally recognizable name, especially after its 2024 anime adaptation by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures that saw the story being brought to life in animated form. Since 2024, the demand for Solo Leveling has only been growing. Because of the popularity of its anime, fans are naturally curious about the source materials that came before it, notably the manhwa and the web novel, as well as its sequel, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, which builds upon the lore in a fascinating manner.
When it comes to the original series of Solo Leveling by Chugong, its novel and manhwa have been fully published and completed, both in physical and online media. Many fans of Solo Leveling are excited upon hearing the news that Tapas is about to bring Solo Leveling: Ragnarok back after a long wait. However, due to various reasons, there's widespread misinformation regarding this Tapas return. Some fans might be under the impression that Tapas is bringing forth new Solo Leveling content, but that, sadly, is not the case. The Solo Leveling return on August 12, 2026, is to continue what Tapas has yet to release in English on its platform concerning the Ragnarok story. To be precise, the Tapas platform has only published up to chapter 318 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Meanwhile, as diehard fans of the series know, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok’s web novel has 375 chapters in total, making the collection on Tapas, for the time being, incomplete. This is now set to change as Tapas is officially adding the remaining 57 chapters.
It's unclear why it took them so long to make this change, but at the very least, they are rectifying this issue and allowing fans from all around to gain full access to Solo Leveling: Ragnarok in English on a global platform. For fans of the original who have yet to get into the sequel, this might be the perfect time to catch up as the story gets its final official English releases.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Will Make Its Manhwa Return In 2026 Or 2027 Following New Tapas Release
Following the new announcement concerning the return of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, many fans are deeply excited to catch up to the story of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok and follow the journey of Sung Suho. However, it must also be said that fans all over the world are also awaiting the return of the Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa. The novel already concluded its run on July 23, 2025, with the release of chapter 375. In that regard, fans don't anticipate any kind of return by creator Daul.
The Manhwa, which began its run on August 1, 2024, has endured quite a few breaks, on the other hand. Most recently, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok's Manhwa adaptation went on a break on January 7, 2026 after the end of Season 2. This is definitely unfortunate, but for now, the wait will continue. While Ragnarok is away for now, fans can instead look forward to projects revolving around the original Solo Leveling franchise before Suho’s story officially began. For one, we are getting a new video game release in the form of Solo Leveling: Karma later on in 2026, which will cover the 27-Year Monarch War. The 27-Year Monarch War is the event that precedes Sung Suho's birth, and it's based on the timeline where Jinwoo eventually marries Cha Hae-In. Before Suho’s birth, Jinwoo fights the Monarchs all alone in a dimension crack by rewinding time using the Cup of Reincarnation. These events were skipped over in the original novel and are now being brought to light with the release of Karma under the supervision of Chugong himself.
In 2027, we will get the official return of the Solo Leveling anime, as confirmed on July 3 at Anime Expo 2026. Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a brand-new movie covering the Ahjin arc and the Return to the Double Dungeon arc of the original manhwa and novel is set to premiere across theatres. It will be brought to the big screen in a flashy manner by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures and propel the fame of the franchise as a whole. Hopefully, by then, the Ragnarok manhwa will also have returned, setting 2027 up to be a fantastic new year for the franchise, and we're eagerly waiting to see what comes next both for Sung Jinwoo and Sung Suho.
