Solo Leveling, by Chugong, is a sensational series beloved all over the world. This IP has been popular since the days when it was a web novel, but recently, it has garnered global attention solely due to its TV Anime by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures. Following the massive anime success, Solo Leveling has also tapped into the video game market, with the current most popular game being Solo Leveling: Arise. This game is growing with each passing day, and with its success comes new regular content, be it original to the story or game-exclusive. In the most recent release of Solo Leveling: Arise, Sung Jinwoo finally received a new Arise transformation as the new Shadow Monarch Successor.
Solo Leveling Arise Reveals New Form Of Jinwoo As Shadow Monarch Successor
Solo Leveling Arise is a game by Netmarble Studio, available to play on both PC and mobile. This game made its debut 2 years ago, around the same time as the beginning of the TV anime, and it has been a massive hit among fans ever since. Despite being two years old, new content is constantly hitting the store for this game.
For fans of Jinwoo, the next update will be especially big as he takes on a new form. It was revealed during a stream on June 2, 2026, that Sung Jinwoo would make a grand new entrance in the game, this time, as the next successor of the Shadow Monarch. As the next Shadow Monarch, Jinwoo takes on an iconic form reminiscent of Ashborn. This form signifies Jinwoo has reached his peak and has become a true Shadow Monarch with his Astralization transformation. The design taken by Solo Leveling: Arise is definitely unique, even if it’s very similar to its Manhwa counterpart. In Arise, this form is separate from the original Jinwoo character available and will have to be unlocked individually. This is different from Solo Leveling: Overdrive, where Jinwoo can just tap into this form with his original character in the game.
While the Shadow Monarch Successor was supposed to be released soon, a new update confirms it has instead been moved to the July update. This decision was made due to Sung Jinwoo falling behind in power. Either way, fans are impatient to get their hands on this new exciting iteration of Sung Jinwoo that is sure to have flashy powers and abilities. More information pertaining to the Shadow Monarch Successor will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Solo Leveling's Next Season Will Officially Give Jinwoo The Powers Of A King
Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of Solo Leveling, is set to officially be crowned as a King in the next anime release.
Jinwoo Shows Up As The Second Successor In Arise After Myro
Sung Jinwoo's arrival in Solo Leveling Arise as the Shadow Monarch Successor marks an exciting moment for the game. With that being said, he isn’t the first monarch successor to enter the ring. Just last month, a new exciting character was revealed as the first official Successor in Arise in the form of a brand new original character known as Myro.
Myro is the successor of Baran, the Monarch of White Flames, and her powers are incredible. Solo Leveling Arise even dropped a one-shot Manhwa unveiling her full backstory. She has proven to be an exciting addition to the game that many have yet to even unlock. She, along with Shadow Monarch Jinwoo, will make for an incredible duo for fans who manage to snatch both.

Solo Leveling Arise Will Set Up More Monarch Successors After Myro and Jinwoo
Solo Leveling Arise has clearly been focusing on the new excitement that the Monarch Successor class has provided. Fans have been incredibly excited to see old and new characters take up these positions, and undoubtedly, these releases are far from over. After Jinwoo and Myro, more characters will be introduced as Successors.
Technically, in the original Solo Leveling series, there were 9 Monarchs, and out of them, only two positions have been filled in Arise with their Successors. Out of canon successors seen in Ragnarok, fans might see the addition of Esil Radiru, Gray, Sirka, Ammut, and Arsha. Of course, there’s also Jinwoo’s own successor, his son, Sung Suho, who could join the fray in Arise as well. Thomas Andre could also be added as a Successor eventually, and the expectation is for there to be more original characters like Myro, with a new twist on the Solo Leveling story in the future as well.
