A Quiet Place 3 Officially Gets Big CinemaCon 2026 Update

Director-writer-producer John Krasinski appeared via video during Paramount’s presentation at CinemaCon 2026 to announce that his post-apocalyptic horror-thriller A Quiet Place Part III is deep in pre-production.

Krasinski, who has steered the sci-fi franchise since its 2018 debut, also shared an Instagram post earlier this March featuring several script covers laid out on a table, each printed with cast names, confirming that the Abbott family will return to face the alien creatures when A Quiet Place 3 arrives in theaters in 2027.

John Krasinski Shares An Exciting Update On A Quiet Place Part III

Krasinski revealed in the video appearance that A Quiet Place Part III will be "bigger". His earlier Instagram post confirmed that Emily Blunt (Evelyn Abbott), Cillian Murphy (Emmett), Millicent Simmonds (Regan Abbott), and Noah Jupe (Marcus Abbott) will return, while Katy O’ Brian, Jack O’Connell, and Jason Clarke will join the cast for Part III, which is slated for release in theaters by Paramount on July 30, 2027.

O’ Brian was previously seen in Love Lies Bleeding, The Running Man, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, The Mandalorian, among others, while O’Connell is fresh off of Sinners, and Clarke was in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Pet Sematary, and Terminator Genisys, among others.

Krasinski expressed his excitement in the caption, writing, "So proud to be part of this A Quiet Place Family…old and new!" underscoring the addition of new faces to the star-studded cast.

A Quiet Place Part III will mark the third installment in the Abbott family trilogy, and fourth in the series overall, with Lupita Nyong'o-led A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) serving as a prequel to the first two movies. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, from a story by Sarnoski and Krasinski, this spin-off focused on Nyong'o’s Samira and Joseph Quinn’s Eric in New York City on the day the sound-sensitive human-hunting aliens arrive. Although unrelated to the Abbott family, the larger events of the invasion connect to those depicted in the earlier movies.

Krasinski returns to write, direct, and produce A Quiet Place Part III, set to arrive nearly a decade after 2018's first A Quiet Place. Further plot details remain strictly under wraps.
