The difference between Shonen and regular anime is that Shonen is meant for young boys or more like its about action,sports, and comedy there is no regular anime as in every anime has its demographic few examples of shonen are jjk,Naruto,One piece and Bleach etc another example I can give you that is not shonen is shojo which is meant for young girls example Sailor Moon,Fruits Basket,Cardcaptor Sakura,Kimi ni Todoke they include romance,action,comedy, or sports in conclusion Shonen targets young boys while shojo targets young girls and for seinen it targets adults males eg. Monster and Berserk
