As early as the first main level of Pragmata, you'll start to see some mysterious glowing blue crystal rock things that seemingly can't be destroyed with any of Hugh's weapons, no matter how powerful they are. In order to break these objects, which are called Filament Masses, you'll need to progress through the second major area and get a skill for Diane: the Lim Eraser.

By using this, you can easily erase filament masses in Pragmata to clear blocked paths, find hidden collectibles, and more.

You won't get the Lim Eraser power in Pragmata until you progress through the second main sector of the story: Mass Production Array. In this area, you're tasked with contacting Earth from the Comms Tower, so you'll need to unlock a massive gate by finding six locks around the map. As you work your way through the mission, you'll eventually reach the fifth block: the Lim Recycling Facility.

After going through a couple of the rooms in the facility, you'll come across a machine that you can interact with. Once you do so, Diane will learn the Lim Eraser move, allowing you to break the blue crystals in your way. To use it, you just need to stand close to the rock mass and hold the LB/L1/E key. Luckily, you can do this as many times as you want, so you don't need to be worried about "wasting" the ability.

There are a lot of glowing blue rocks in the Mass Production Array sector, as well as the Solar Power Plant, so it's best to backtrack and destroy the rocks so you can find all the hidden goodies to help upgrade Hugh's suit, weapons, and mods.

How to Break Glowing Red Crystal Rocks in Pragmata

Cleanse

Later on in Pragmata's story, you will also come across glowing red crystals -these are dead filament masses and can only be destroyed with a special ability called Cleanse.

Going into how you acquire this skill for Diana is kind of spoiler territory, but you will get it once you enter and complete a main story area named Experimental Pragmatics. You'll come here after the Lunum Mines section.
