From June 30, 10 am local time, until Friday, July 3, 8 pm local time, you can choose between three paths for the Charged Embers Timed Research event in Pokemon GO. The three paths are Explore, Catch, and Battle, but what are the rewards for each, and which path is the easiest to complete in four days? Here's the answer to all of that!
All Paths and Rewards for Charged Embers in Pokemon GO

Before you choose one of the three paths for Charged Embers, it's worth pointing out that all the rewards are the same. It doesn't matter if you choose Catch, Battle, or Explore; you'll always end up getting encounters with a pair of Kanto Pokemon, Magmar and Electabuzz, as well as Golden Razz Berries and Rare Candy.
However, choosing the right path will make a big difference, as the tasks are pretty different. And depending on your playstyle, some might be easier to complete than others.
Explore Path for Charged Embers
If you go along the Explore path, you'll get tasks related to... you guessed it: exploring! You'll need to hatch some eggs, follow some Routes, and generally just walk a lot. If you're someone who plays Pokemon GO while sitting at home or at your desk at work, this might not be the best option. As a bonus for choosing this path, you'll get 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance to make the tasks easier.

Catch Path for Charged Embers
For the Catch path, you'll need to toss a lot of Poke Balls and catch plenty of Pokemon. If you have some lure modules and Incense, you should be able to get Pokemon to easily come to you without having to explore much, so if you're not much of a walker, this could work out as a solid path choice. For this route, you'll get extra Candy for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.

Battle Path for Charged Embers
And last but not least, the Battle Path involves beating at least six raids, defeating 16 Team GO Rocket Grunts, and using Supereffective Attacks in battle. This isn't a super difficult path to choose, but it will involve moving around a lot to actually go on raids and find grunts to battle. You can try and get some Remote Raid Passes, but it'll cost you!
If you choose this route, you'll get extra Mysterious Components from beating Grunts. Once you get six of the Components, you can make a Rocket Radar to track down the Team GO Rocket Leaders: Sierra, Arlo, or Cliff.
