All HM Locations in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen

Trainers can find a total of seven Hidden Machines or HMs in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, each being a navigational tool that unlocks new possibilities and makes it possible to explore previously inaccessible locations.

While finding all seven HMs is not required to complete the game, some of them are required for story progression. As a result, knowing where and how to get them is crucial information to have for every player.

HM07 Waterfall	Get the Rainbow Pass from Celio after you get the National Pokedex in the post-game to get access to Four Island (Sevii Islands). HM01 Cut

Get the S.S. Ticket from Bill, who can be found in the Sea Cottage on Route 25.
Go to Vermilion City and show the ticket to the sailor at the docks to enter S.S. Anne.
Go up two floors and enter the Captain’s Cabin after defeating your Rival at the entrance.
Talk to the Captain to get HM01 Cut.

HM02 Fly

Go to Celadon City.
Take the western exit to reach Route 16 east.
Use HM01 to cut the tree near the sleeping Snorlax.
Enter the house with the blue roof and talk to the girl to get HM02 Fly.

HM03 Surf

Pay the 500 Poke Dollar fee to enter the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City.
Follow the instructions in the screenshots above to reach the Secret House in Area 3.
Talk to the NPC attendant inside to get HM03 Surf.

HM04 Strength

Pay the 500 Poke Dollar fee to enter the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City.
Follow the instructions in the screenshots above to find the Gold Teeth in Area 3.
Exit the Safari Zone.
Enter the Warden’s House, right next to the Pokemon Center.
Talk to the Warden to give him the Gold Teeth and get HM04 Strength.

HM05 Flash

Catch at least 10 different species of Pokemon.
Locate the Diglett’s Cave entrance on Route 11, east of Vermilion City.
Go through the Diglett’s Cave and exit through the other entrance to reach Route 2 (East).
Use HM01 Cut to cut down the tree to the south.
Continue southward and enter the gatehouse.
Talk to Professor Oak’s Aide to get HM05 Flash.

HM06 Rock Smash

Defeat Blaine in the Cinnabar Gym.
Exit the Gym and agree to accompany Bill to the Sevii Islands when prompted.
Head east to Kindle Road, and then continue north until you find the entrance to the Ember Spa.
Talk to the old man on the far end of the Ember Spa to receive HM06 Rock Smash.

HM07 Waterfall

Defeat the Elite Four, become champion, capture at least 60 different Pokemon species, and talk to Professor Oak in Pallet Town to unlock the National Dex.
Visit Celio in the Pokemon Network Center on One Island to get the quest to locate the Ruby.
Head to Mt. Ember and defeat the two Team Rocket grunts blocking the cave entrance on the eastern part of the outskirts.
Enter the cave and find the Ruby.
Bring the Ruby back to Celio to receive the Rainbow Pass.
Use the Rainbow Pass at a Ferry Station to go to Four Island.
Use HM03 Surf to enter the Icefall on the eastern side of town.
Solve the breakable ice tile puzzle to get HM07 Waterfall.
