Pokemon Champions players on the Nintendo Switch version who are interested in playing the game on their mobile device can link their Nintendo Account to carry over their save data between the two platforms, and cross-progression will be supported so that players can hop between devices as they please. The game is also confirmed to support crossplay, so Nintendo Switch users will be able to battle mobile users in matches of Pokemon Champions.
To celebrate the release of Pokemon Champions on mobile devices, players can also claim the Mega Stones for Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Players logging into Pokemon Champions on their mobile device for the first time will be given these Mega Stones as a free gift. Meanwhile, any Nintendo Switch players can log into Pokemon Champions between June 17 and September 1 to claim the Mega Stones from their in-game mailbox.

The mobile release date for Pokemon Champions also coincides with the start of Season 3, which marks a shift in regulations as well. With this regulation change, Pokemon Champions is likely to see more new Pokemon added to the game to shake up the current meta. Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y being usable in Pokemon Champions for the first time is already game-changing, and they are likely just the beginning of what fans can expect from Season 3. At the very least, Pokemon Champions players can expect a new Battle Pass and its associated rewards to drop alongside the start of Season 3 and the mobile version's launch date.
