Milotic is a Water-type Pokemon that was introduced in Gen 3 as the evolution of Feebas. Just like Gyarados evolving from Magikarp, Milotic is both a visual and power upgrade from its previous evolution.

Milotic's Role in Doubles

Milotic acts as a bulky attacker/stall in Pokemon Champions double battles. It is best used to take a bunch of hits and sometimes support your other Pokemon on the field. Milotic is sort of like a meat shield that can dish out serious damage in the right situations. It is good to bring Milotic in when you need to soak up some damage or take a hit for your other Pokemon.

Cute Charm: The opponent has a 30% chance of being induced with Attract when using a physical contact attack against this Pokemon.

Competitive is the best ability by far. This can punish those who use a Pokemon with Intimidate to lower Attack, and other moves that lower stats, such as Icy Wind or Muddy Water. Since Milotic has a decent Special attack already, getting a competitive boost allows it to deal high damage with little to no Special Attack EV investment.

Milotic's biggest strength is its ability to withstand hits, so maxing out HP is a must. Since its Defense is a little lackluster, maxing that can allow it to take Physical moves as well. The extra points in Special Attack and Special Defense just give Milotic a little more damage and bulk.

Bold Nature is the best because it puts Milotic's Defense on par with its Special Defense. The lower Attack does not matter since it will be using Special Attacks. Plus, it is more of a defensive Pokemon anyway.

Recover keeps Milotic on the field for a long time since it restores half of its Max HP. It can let Milotic outlast certain Pokemon, while your other offensive threat takes out the opponent.

Scald is a strong Water-type move, so Milotic gets a damage boost from it. Scald also has a 30% chance to Burn the opponent, further reducing the damage Milotic takes from Physical moves.

Ice Beam is a strong Ice-type move that can deal with meta threats, such as Garchomp and Aerodactyl. It also has a 10% chance to Freeze the opponent. Even though it is not good to bet on that, Freeze can really help slow down the opponent.

Protect helps with stall and recovery. This is made even better when using Leftovers. Alternating Recover and Protect makes Milotic much harder to deal with, especially if you have another Pokemon on the field threatening the opponent.
