The Mythical Zoan subclass of Devil Fruits has received attention in One Piece's final saga. In the Elbaf Arc, some of the most powerful Devil Fruits belonging to this category have been unveiled by the creator of the series, Eiichiro Oda. Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits allow the user to transform into powerful creatures from myths and legends and bring their power into reality. That said, all of these powerful Devil Fruit abilities still function within the rules established for regular Zoan types. As such, each Mythical Zoan has a full transformation as well as a hybrid transformation.
Now, in the climax of the Elbaf Arc, Eiichiro Oda has lined up the strongest hybrid Mythical Zoan transformation and it stems from the power of Loki's Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, which was officially revealed in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #14 on March 2, 2026. While the full transformation of Loki's Nidhoggr form has already been shown, the hybrid form is still in silhouette and remains to be unveiled.
One Piece's Elbaf Arc Climax Is Set To Unveil Loki's Strongest Hybrid Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr Transformation
Loki was properly introduced in One Piece chapter 1030 on October 21, 2024, in which it was officially stated that he possessed the power to destroy the entire world. Loki's power source is his unique Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit called Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr. This Devil Fruit allows Loki to transform into a legendary dragon from the myths of Elbaf that is said to be the largest in the world. This dragon also has the ability to produce lightning and, with its power, destroy the entire world, making it one of the strongest creatures to have ever existed.
One Piece chapter 1175, which was released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #14 on March 2, 2026, officially confirmed that, before Loki, this Devil Fruit was eaten by the God of War of Elbaf. As such, Loki holding this power makes him the equivalent of the God of War in the world of One Piece, showcasing the immense capabilities that this power grants. One Piece chapter 1175 also officially unveiled the full transformation of Loki's Nidhoggr form as he stepped into the Sun World and immediately made quick work of the MMAs, produced by Killingham’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin ability, as well as taking on St. Sommers, one of the powerful Holy Knights working under Nerona Imu.
“In Elbaph, we have a legend about a Warrior God. He wielded a weapon known as Ragnir-Iron Lightning-and turned into an enormous dragon to face off against the Sun God!! He fought alongside a trusted, loyal ice squirrel known as Ratatoskr.” — Jarul on the power of Nidhoggr, One Piece Chapter 1175
Since then, Loki has continued to fight in his full transformation, meaning the true powers of his hybrid form are yet to be revealed. Right now, Loki is fighting against Nerona Imu, with the latest exchange of blows taking place in Chapter 1183, which was released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #26 on May 24, 2026. This chapter showcased Loki launching a powerful technique called Ragna-Dualheim on Imu, which was countered by the latter using his own Sword of Wrath, Gram. This battle is set to continue after the Esperia Kingdom flashback focusing on Brook and Shuri concludes. Once that happens, Eiichiro Oda is likely to unveil the full power of the strongest hybrid form to exist in the world of One Piece, stemming from the Ryu Ryu no Mi Model Nidhoggr.

One Piece Chapter 1170 Teased The True Power Loki's Hybrid Form
Loki's Hybrid form, stemming from the powers of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, is quite easily the strongest in the entirety of One Piece, and its true powers were teased in chapter 1170, which was released on January 5, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump Issue #6-7. In this chapter, Loki was seen in a flashback from 14 years ago, facing off against his father, King Harald. Harald was already a monster in combat, known to be an equal to Rocks D.
Xebec and standing shoulder to shoulder with legends of the era such as Gol D. Roger. But, during this confrontation, he became even stronger as he was directly boosted by the Depths Covenant of Nerona Imu, giving him an immortal body, infinite regeneration, and, on top of everything else, superhuman strength to make him a legendary fighter.
“If Harald left the castle in that state, he would've brought a great calamity upon the whole world. I had a taste of a hopeless future in that fight. No matter what we did to him, his body kept regenerating. I still can't believe that someone actually managed to stop him.” — Scopper Gaban comments on King Harald’s strength, One Piece Chapter #1171
In One Piece Chapter 1171, Scopper Gaban officially stated that Harald held enough power to destroy the entire world and that no force in the world could have stopped him. Yet, against all odds, Loki, using the power of the hybrid form of his Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, was able to put a halt to him. In fact, the manner in which Loki was able to defeat King Harald was astounding. By just launching a couple of powerful blows in his hybrid form, Loki was able to completely overwhelm and defeat Harald in combat, which was a shock to all of us manga readers at the time.
Harald: Now hurry! The dominion is coming back!
Loki: I hate you. For making me do something like this!
Harald: Me too, son! I love you!
— Final exchange between Harald and Loki, One Piece Chapter #1170
Unfortunately, Eiichiro Oda hid Loki's hybrid form in a silhouette, not allowing us to glimpse its appearance or its true powers. Once the Esperia kingdom flashback concludes, Loki's full hybrid form will finally be unveiled in the battle against Nerona Imu, and its powers will be revealed in the process as well.

Why Loki's Hybrid Is The Strongest Mythical Zoan Hybrid In One Piece
There are quite a few powerful hybrid transformations that exist in the world of One Piece, but Loki's hybrid, stemming from the powers of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, is quite easily the strongest. For one, this Devil Fruit is canonically stated to be capable of destroying the entire world in Chapter 1130 and subsequent Chapter 1136, released on January 20, 2026. More than that, no other Mythical Zoan has such a powerful hybrid form. Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, another mythical Zoan, stands as a competitor, but it doesn't seem to have a traditional full transformation or a hybrid form. As such, saying that Luffy's hybrid form is stronger than that of Loki's wouldn't be accurate at all.
“He was a rare ancient Giant enhanced with even more power and an undying body. Those traits made him a true monster and yet he was still killed. Is something unforeseen lurking in Elbaf?” — Nerona Imu shocked at Loki's strength, One Piece #1171
Nerona Imu, the King of the entire World, also potentially stands as another competitor for Loki, but his Akuma no Mi Devil Fruit categorization is not quite clear. Nerona Imu's Akuma no Mi grants powers that don't fit in a singular category. As such, this Devil Fruit cannot be classified as a Mythical Zoan. In fact, the Akuma no Mi, which was introduced officially in One Piece Chapter 1179, released in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #19 on April 6, 2026, was shown to precede all other Devil Fruits that exist in the world.
This is evident by its naming as Akuma no Mi, which literally translates to “The Devil's Fruit,” implying its status as the strongest ability to exist in the world. With these two powers out of the way, Loki's Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr is quite easily the strongest Mythical Zoan and the only ability with the mightiest hybrid transformation.
