The One Piece anime took a major leap in Episode 1160 as Luffy finally met Loki. Their interaction was only possible because the Straw Hats were able to escape from the Sun God's Block Kingdom.
After breaking out, Luffy decided to jump down from the rope bridge to find the source of the noise. Eventually, Luffy found a giant with pink hair in chains. Upon talking to him, Luffy learned that the person was none other than Loki. Interestingly, Loki called himself the Sun God and described himself as the one who would destroy the One Piece world.
One Piece: Is Loki The Next Straw Hat?
One of the most popular theories regarding Loki's future in the series states that he'll become a Straw Hat, so how true could this be?
Luffy And Loki's First Interaction
Since Luffy and Loki met towards the end of the episode, there wasn't much that they could talk about, but they did introduce themselves. Loki asked Luffy who he was, and the latter gave his name. Furthermore, Luffy told him that he would become the King of the Pirates. Next, it was Luffy's turn to ask the questions. So, he asked Loki who he was and the name of the place.
I am the Sun God...Loki.
The giant begrudgingly told the pirate that his name was Loki and that they were in Elbaph. As previously stated, Loki also stated that he would be the one to bring about the destruction of the world. Moreover, he also called himself the Sun God. Unfortunately, the episode ended before they could talk anymore.

GameRant Quiz
It is likely that Loki wants to be free, so he might ask Luffy to break the chains that bind him. Knowing Luffy and his admiration for Shanks, he might just accept the deal. But there is a tiny chance that Loki's confession about him being the one who destroys the world will put him off. At the same time, the pirate knows his own strength, and he can rely on it to stop Loki.
A more rational person might not agree to Loki's demands, especially when he is called the Accursed Prince. The people of Elbaph are not fans of Loki. They believe that he is responsible for widespread destruction, which was brought about by his greed for power.
While Luffy and Loki will be at the center of attention in One Piece Episode 1161, it is worth mentioning that the Straw Hats will get their moments. Luffy's group is already in Elbaph, but the rest of the crew that traveled with the Giant Warrior Pirates has yet to make landfall. To be fair to them, they did spend quite some time looking for Luffy's group that was aboard the Thousand Sunny. In the previous episode, they finally decided to stop looking for Luffy's group. They knew that Luffy and the rest could handle any kind of trouble without any problems.
One Piece Episode 1161 will also reveal if Sanji, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, and Usopp will go after Luffy or if they will try to find the island's natives. It is possible that they might run into Hajrudin or some other members of the New Giant Warrior Pirates, who could brief them about their current whereabouts. Once the group gets a better understanding of the location, they can formulate a plan accordingly. It is plausible to assume that at least Zoro or Sanji will go after Luffy to ensure that he doesn't do something reckless.
One Piece Episode 1161 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix. It will be available in Japanese audio and English subtitles. The dubbed version has no official release date yet, but that should change in the coming weeks.
