How to Play Connections
To play Connections, you'll need to look at the sixteen words on the board and try to find groups of four connected words. After selecting four words, you can submit your guess. If the words belong together, they'll be removed from the board, and the category will be revealed. If they don't, you'll lose a life.
Every Connections puzzle has four groups, which are usually color-coded by difficulty. Yellow is typically the easiest, followed by green and blue. Purple is often the trickiest and usually involves some kind of wordplay. You only get four mistakes, so it's worth taking a moment to look for possible traps before locking in an answer.
