Here are some easy ways to build your bond with characters in NTE:

Give Them Gifts
Text Messages
Quests
Interactions

Give Them Gifts

I found giving gifts to be one of the fastest ways to increase affection. To do this, you will need to open your phone and go to the 'Bond' section. Now choose the character you want, and you will see a list of items you can give them.

Some of these are their favorite gifts, and those give more bond EXP. If you’re not sure where to get a certain item, you can tap on it, and the game will tell you its source, which makes things a lot easier. Most of these gifts can be purchased from in-game shops.

There are a couple of limits. You can only give 10 gifts in total each day, and only three to the same character. This means you cannot just spam everything on one character, even if you want to.

Text Messages

Some characters will text you now and then. Replying to them is one of the easiest ways to build your bond with them.

Keep an eye out for messages that have a heart icon at the top since those are the ones that give bond EXP. I received a message from Mint about trying new ice cream flavors. I went along with it and ended up enjoying ice cream with her as part of a small bond quest.

Complete Bond Quests

Another easy way to build affection is through character-specific quests. You can find these in the Bond section, and they usually start by talking to that character when they are in the city.

Special Interactions

As Appraisers increase their bond levels, they will unlock special interactions with some characters. These include things like holding hands, hugging, taking photos together, and even playing rock, paper, scissors.

You can also take some characters out for rides around the city. For that, choose that character in the Bond menu and click on ‘Ride’ in the bottom left corner of the screen.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can only get affection points from your first interaction. After that, you won’t get more points by repeating it.
