What Is An AtlasPass In No Man's Sky?

No Man's Sky - AtlasPass v1 in Inventory

There are 3 versions of the AtlasPass, and each allows players to open certain locked items or doors, acting as keys. Thankfully, unlocks are infinite, so use your AtlasPass as often as you like. They can be crafted and must be held in the player's inventory.

No Man's Sky - Search Barrel With AtlasPass v1

Owning a higher-tier AtlasPass, such as the v3, grants the benefits of lower-tier AtlasPasses. Therefore, old ones can be discarded or given to friends.

How To Get An AtlasPass In No Man's Sky

All three versions of the AtlasPass can be crafted, but first players will need the relevant blueprints. These blueprints can be purchased from the Synthesis Laboratory at the Anomaly.

Each costs 250 Nanites. However, you must first unlock previous versions, even if you don't craft them. This means it is 750 Nanites in total to get the AtlasPass v3.

Where To Find The Synthesis Laboratory

After summoning the Anomaly in space and landing, head up the stairs to the left of the Nexus. Upon reaching the large corridor, turn left toward a floating model of the Anomaly. There are a few NPCs here and various stations. The Synthesis Laboratory is on the right.

Many technologies can be unlocked here or with the help of the nearby NPCs, such as Eos. The new Gravity Gun is one example.

How To Craft AtlasPasses

All versions of the AtlasPass are crafted in the inventory, but each requires slightly different resources.

AtlasPass v3	1 Microprocessor + 200 Emeril

Microprocessors themselves have a blueprint that can be purchased from the Synthesis Laboratory. They are built out of 40 Chromatic Metal and 1 Carbon Nanotube.
