A new wave of Persona 6 leaks is seemingly hitting the internet, with some supporting claims going on to suggest fans could see it at Summer Game Fest or the Xbox Games Showcase. Persona 6 rumors and leaks have been rather commonplace for years, so much so that it feels like the game will materialize (or at least be officially announced) any day now. Beyond that, fans should be sure to take this information with a grain of salt and keep in mind that all rumors and leaks live and die by their source.

That is the biggest weakness of these new Persona 6, as they are reportedly coming from the Chinese social media site Xiaohongshu (RedNote in English) and are being spread by users like eXtas1s and the editor in chief of Universo Nintendo 'Necro' Felipe. Neither of these figures has a particularly good track record, but they have been part of the rumor mill, especially eXtas1s, for a considerable amount of time. In other words, that grain of salt may need to be a whole bottle instead, but stranger things have definitely happened, especially because they are claiming this comes from a Chinese social media site.

The Velvet Room is a core part of the Persona series' identity, and it's likely that Persona 6 will offer a new take on this iconic location.

Persona 6 Rumors and Leaks

According to eXtas1s, the Persona 6 leaks surfaced on RedNote because of the "outsourcing of art and testing in Asia" for SEGA and Atlus games. Either way, eXtas1s claims that Persona 6's development status is essentially feature complete, meaning it will likely be moving into final testing and polishing soon, but that it won't be released until sometime in 2027. Whether early or late 2026 has yet to be confirmed, but depending exactly on what "feature complete" means here, a range of 6-18 months is not infeasible.

Furthermore, the dominant color scheme of Persona 6 is said to be green—noteworthy because every Persona game has a dominant color. Persona 3 is Blue, Persona 4 is Yellow, and Persona 5 is Red, but this pattern makes guessing simple enough. Meanwhile, there are two protagonists according to these rumors. It is uncertain if it is a dual protagonist role, as in each character is the MC of the game, or if it is a gender selection option for Persona 6. The latter seems less likely because the protagonists have distinct designs and personalities.

For example, the female protagonist is said to have black and red hair, while the male protagonist is blond. Furthermore, the male protagonist is said to be the opposite of a "handsome guy" archetype with a more literal personality and melancholic nature. The personality of the female protagonist for Persona 6 goes unnamed. Even though they are distinct, meaning dual protagonists is certainly likelier, this may still be a gender choice. All of this is according to 'Necro' Felipe, but is seemingly corroborated by eXtas1s.

Unfortunately, leaks of this nature are not going to end if Persona 6 is not at the Xbox Games Showcase or Summer Game Fest. The only way for Persona 6 rumors and leaks to at least slow down is for Atlus to fully reveal the game, which could be soon (according to these folks) or later. For now, fans shouldn't hold their breath.
