Here are the steps to solving the bonfire Strange Tales in Sunni Island in NTE:

Read the Secret Message in a Bottle (optional): The message will tell you to go to Breakwater Stone Boneyard and light the bonfire on the beach. The firestarter is in the storage box inside the wooden canoe nearby, and it will create a waterproof purple flame. Wait until the next rainy night, and talk to the person who shows up. The password, based on the message, is Daruga, but there won't be an option for this when you meet the figure.

Head to the Breakwater Stone Boneyard, which is on the western shore of Sunni Island.
