Brand Anniversary Anomaly Commission in NTE

Brand Anniversary is an anomaly commission in NTE: Neverness to Everness, where players have to find and defeat a boss called Film-MANISH in an underground arena. The main difficulty with this commission is not the actual boss fight itself, but locating the arena where you need to go.

The red circle marking the location of the Brand Anniversary anomaly points to an area near the local Wertheimer Tower, but because the actual door leading to this anomaly is located underground, players may find themselves lost when trying to find it. Here’s the breakdown.

Brand Anniversary Anomaly Location in NTE

To complete the Brand Anniversary anomaly commission, you need to locate a maintenance station entrance in a tunnel in Unheard Shores. Here’s what you need to do.

First, fast travel to the Wertheimer Tower of Unheard Shores, facing the Orichalcos Imaginist building.

Turn southeast, the direction shown in the screenshot above, and run in a straight line until you reach a parking lot.

Jump off the edge of the parking lot and glide down to the road below.

Summon your vehicle using the Key Fob and start driving.

Drive your car into the tunnel on the right and look for a maintenance station entrance built into the wall. On the minimap, you’ll see an Oracle Stone icon at the entrance of this station, making it easy to pinpoint where you need to go.

Stop your car and enter the station through the metal door. Keep following the narrow path until you trigger the boss fight against Film-MANISH.

How to Beat Film-MANISH in NTE

Film-MANISH is weak to Cosmos Esper attribute. Esper Zero and Chiz are both excellent team members to have for this fight.

Phase 1

In Phase 1, Film-MANISH has access to the following attacks.

• Film-MANISH will jump up, hover for a moment, and slam its face on the ground. This attack can be parried.
• The boss will create a large number of film screens around itself. A damage-dealing object will emerge from all screens at the same time, homing in towards you. This attack can be avoided by getting close to the boss’ body.
• Film-MANISH will slam four film reel arms on the ground around its body, creating film reel columns on the ground that deal damage to enemies. There is always a red glint before this attack is performed.
• The boss will float in the air, do a small wind-up, and then spin around really fast for a period of time. This attack can be parried during the wind-up window.
• Film-MANISH will create and throw inanimate objects like vending machines at you, signaled by a red glint. This attack can be dodged.
• The boss will create two film screens around itself, then swing its “arms” at you twice, each time triggering one of the film screens to throw objects at you.

Phase 2

Phase 2 starts when the boss is at half health. In this phase, Film-MANISH gets two additional moves it can use, in addition to the moves from Phase 1.

• Film-MANISH will curl up into a tight ball, then suddenly expand, creating a line of film reels on the ground that slows down your character massively if you step on them. It will then have pillars of black goo emerge from these reels to deal damage.
• The boss will suddenly slam down three of its “arms” into the ground, dealing damage. This attack is hard to dodge because of how fast it is.
