Creating a functional team in NTE is essential for completing endgame events like Beyond the Rails and High Risk Commissions. To create a healthy team with characters who work well together, it's important to understand the Esper Cycles and how they interact with each other. It's also necessary to include characters who buff certain Esper Cycles, giving more value to the team's combos. For that, this guide will share the best NTE teams and why they're considered the best.
NTE Tier List
An NTE tier list can help players decide which character they should invest in first, if they wish to get the strongest Esper.
Baicang + Daffodil + Haniel + Sakiri
This is one of the most versatile teams in NTE. Having both Baicang and Daffodil in the same team opens the door for many combos, creating chaos during rotations. When it comes to the team's structure, Daffodil is the center of reactions since she'll take advantage of both Scorch and Nova Esper Cycles to trigger Discord and continuously break enemies. She's an in-and-out character who heavily relies on her team being flexible enough to switch back and forth with her.
When it comes to Baicang, he operates as the hyper carry of the team, meaning he's the main DPS who spends the most time on the field and has the entire team working for his DMG. Both Haniel and Sakiri work together to maximize his DPS while also participating in the team's Esper Cycles to trigger both Nova and Scorch with Daffodil. Not only that, but Sakiri and Baicang greatly improve Scorch DMG, giving more reasons to keep triggering it during combat.
Hotori + Nanally + Jiuyuan + MC
Hotori is yet another character that buffs the Blossom reaction in NTE. That instantly makes it appealing to create a team with all three Blossom buffers: Hotori, Nanally, and Jiuyuan. Whenever the team triggers a Blossom reaction, Jiuyuan creates another Vita Bud and increases the limit to six Vita Buds that can coexist on the field. On the other hand, when Nanally is on the team, she enhances Vita Buds to shoot once every second instead of every two seconds, which again doubles their DPS. Finally, since Hotori stops time when she uses Ultimate, her Blossom enhancement prevents the Vita Buds from freezing, allowing them to reach their full potential while enemies are frozen around them.
You can further enhance this team's performance by adding MC. With their Skill triggering another Support Skill, they make it possible to spawn four Vita Buds every rotation. They barely take any field time, leaving more time for Hotori and Nanally to switch back and forth between each other.
Nanally + Jiuyuan + Sakiri + MC
This team focuses on Nanally as the main DPS, with Jiuyuan and Sakiri taking turns supporting her. You need MC or Hotori in this team, since you have two characters that enhance the Blossom reaction. While this team doesn't depend on the Charge reaction to refill Nanally's Ultimate, it does have Jiuyuan, who can take the field and hold her own until you get Nanally's Ult back.
When it comes to the rest of the team, Sakiri is an amazing buffer who also triggers the Hexed reaction, giving Nanally even more DMG while she's on the field. The best part of this team is Jiuyuan and Sakiri's ability to group enemies with their strong CC, which maximizes Nanally's time on the field since she'll be hitting multiple enemies at once. If you don't have Sakiri, you can also use Haniel as an alternative buffer.
Chiz + Jiuyuan + Hathor + Haniel
This team makes the most of Chiz's mechanics and time on the field. Chiz is a character who needs her Ultimate to perform at her best. For that, it's important to trigger Charge in every rotation. That will allow Chiz to cast her Ultimate every time she's on the field. To trigger the Charge reaction, you need Jiuyuan and Hathor to operate as Sub-DPS units.
Hathor adds more time to the Remora reaction, giving Chiz more time to refill her Ultimate. As for Jiuyuan, she allows the Blossom reaction to summon two Vita Buds, increasing the amount of energy Chiz can get, especially with her own passive that further enhances it.
On the other hand, Hathor is a strong Sub-DPS who can fill gaps with her strong DMG. Haniel makes sure Hathor performs at her best because of their Stain reaction, which increases the Lakshana DMG enemies take from Hathor. This is not the only thing Haniel does, as she's also a capable buffer who can further increase Chiz and Hathor's DPS while they're on the field. With Jiuyuan's grouping, Haniel's buffs, and Chiz and Hathor's DPS, this is one of the best teams in NTE.
