My Hero Academia has its fair share of powerful characters with fire quirks. Depending on usage, these fire quirks can potentially cause widespread destruction, especially if their users are up to no good. It’s quite difficult to stop or extinguish these fire quirks, too, as some operate in extreme temperatures that can burn even the most seasoned heroes in My Hero Academia.

My Hero Academia: 7 Best Harmless Quirks, Ranked

Despite having no offensive capabilities whatsoever, these Quirks in My Hero Academia still stand out for their creativity and uniqueness.

Throughout the series, different fire quirks stand out for their extreme temperatures, color, usage, and overall destruction level. Among those, these fire quirks are the strongest in My Hero Academia, burning brighter and hitting harder than any others in the series. In fact, some of the users of these fire quirks are well-known for the devastating powers they hold.

Ignition

Quirk User: Moyuru Tochi

Ignition is the only quirk in this list to appear in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes through the former villain, Moyuru Tochi. Though Ignition is a cool name for a fire quirk, it isn’t exactly a powerful one. In its base form, all it does is allow Moyuru to produce small, weak flames from his body, fitting for a small-time villain like him.

However, after Moyuru was affected by Ideo Trigger, his Ignition instantly gained more power and became capable of producing larger, more destructive flames. Like most characters in this list, he can unleash flamethrowers, but not as strong as the likes of Endeavor, Shoto, or Dabi.

Hardflame Fan

Quirk User: All For One

All For One has stolen quite a lot of quirks in the series, and Hardflame Fan is no different. However, the original owner of the fire quirk remains unknown, making All For One the only identified user of Hardflame Fan to this day. First used by AFO in the battle against Hawks and Endeavor in MHA episode 147, the fire quirk allowed AFO to protect himself from Endeavor’s Vanishing Fist. Unlike the other fire quirks on this list, Hardflame Fan isn’t an offensive quirk.

To put it simply, Hardflame Fan allows the user to create layers of fire walls to defend themselves from incoming attacks. In the anime, these walls were animated like liquid slime, but the manga depicts them as solid, rolling flames.

Eruption

Quirk User: Volcano

Hailing from one of MHA’s arcade games, Volcano, otherwise known as Maguma Iwata, is a fire quirk user who seemingly looks like Endeavor with his blue suit, paired with gauntlets and boots. It’s almost as if he was a game character designed according to Endeavor’s frame and appearance.

Meanwhile, Maguma’s quirk is referred to as Volcano, which grants him the ability to shoot lava and magma from his body. The inner workings behind his quirk are fascinating too, much like how Fat Gum converts his fat to unleash his attacks. In Maguma’s case, he burns his fat to unleash lava and magma from his body.

Half-Cold Half-Hot

Quirk User: Shoto Todoroki

Owning two elemental quirks at once is Shoto Todoroki’s greatest strength in My Hero Academia. Unlike his father and brother, he can rely on his ice abilities and even combine them with his fire techniques when necessary.

In fact, some of Shoto’s most powerful techniques harness the power of both ice and fire, combining them to freeze and burn his opponents simultaneously. His “cold fire” is exclusive to his personal use, making it a signature technique that proves his mastery of fire and ice quirks.

If we separate Shoto’s fire quirk from his ice quirk, his fire is still strong enough to rival or even surpass those flames of his brother and father. Just like them, he can burn anything or anyone he touches, unleashing flame walls, flamethrowers, and the like.

Hellflame

Quirk User: Endeavor

Endeavor’s mastery of his fire quirk is second to none. His Hellflame may be weaker than Dabi’s, but the variety of his fire techniques makes him a far more versatile fire user. From flamethrowers, heat rays, flame blankets, and even flaming whirlwinds, Endeavor has a lot of offensive and defensive techniques at his disposal.

Endeavor can even construct fire weapons, such as fire arrows, harpoons, and the like, to attack his enemies. Endeavor takes great pride in his flames. He refuses to appear in public without his flames, treating them as a symbol of his power and Pro Hero status.

Depending on the power level of his opponents, Endeavor can simply adjust the temperature of his Hellflame. Those who push him to his limits can also witness how he can switch from red to blue flames just like Dabi. However, overusing his flames can also slow him down, and in worst-case scenarios, someone needs to cool him down before he can rejoin battles.

Blueflame

Quirk User: Dabi

Of all the fire quirks in the series, Dabi has the most unique flames. After all, his fire is blue, making it hotter and stronger than everybody else’s, including Endeavor. Wielding Blueflame isn’t for the weak as well, as even Dabi himself couldn’t sustain the burning effect of his flames for long battles, mostly because of the genes he inherited from his mother.

Despite this, Dabi is reckless enough to abuse Blueflame just to finish Endeavor and satisfy his rage. The more anger his heart has for Endeavor and everyone in general, the more powerful his Blueflame becomes. In fact, his flames can even burn Endeavor, despite the latter’s massive resistance to fire, proving just how dangerous Dabi's flames are.

When unleashed against opponents with no fire resistance, Dabi’s foes often die instantaneously, leaving nothing behind but ash and scorched marks. A single tap in the back can ignite a target at once, while a simple flamethrower or flame wave can incinerate multiple targets regardless of their distance to Dabi.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
