Mixtape follows Rockford, Slater, and Cassandra as they enjoy one last day together before they go their separate ways. With a narrative supported by an excellent soundtrack, the game offers players the chance to enjoy a nostalgic trip down their own memory lanes, filled with simpler times hanging out with friends in their neighborhood. Inspired by 1980s "coming-of-age" films, but focused on a short time period for the trio, some players may be wondering just how long Mixtape takes to beat and how many chapters there are. Here, I'll give you a complete list of every chapter, as well as how long it took me to beat the game.
How Long Does Mixtape Take to Beat?
It took me about three hours to complete a playthrough of Mixtape. My Steam library playtime tracker has it down as 3.1 hours, totaling 3 hours and 6 minutes. Some of this includes watching the end credits, but for the remainder of that playtime, I was pretty focused on progressing through the game.
I also got 65% of the achievements available in the game, equating to a pretty thorough playthrough. That includes the 'Grunge Metal Alchemist' achievement, which is very easy to miss on the first playthrough. The remaining achievements I didn't get don't require a significant amount of time invested, either, with most requiring me to complete a task in a set amount of time or complete an action in a specific manner in a chapter, such as 'hit only home runs as Cassandra' or 'hit three pig balloons.'
If you do miss any achievements in Mixtape, you can always use the Chapter Select option from the main menu to quickly go back to a specific point in the game and unlock them after you've completed your first playthrough.
