The Shadowstrix is a powerful assassin class in Mistfall Hunter, and learning how to use it is vital to becoming a proficient Gyldenmist explorer. This class has a lot of advantages that allow it to survive for longer, extract safely, and even avoid PvP or engage with an absurd advantage if needed. It's the perfect toolkit class for every use, guaranteeing success once you master it.

Powerful as a solo class, and able to stealth its way away from danger, the Shadowstrix has become the favorite class of most players. There are many ways to build this class, but we are going to focus on two versatile builds for PvP and PvE that can be used both in solo and trios.

Shadowstrix Strengths & Weaknesses (Overview)

The Shadowstrix is a menacing foe whenever you meet him. Even when caught off guard and fighting PvE enemies, this assassin has just too many tricks up his sleeve to move away from danger and turn that disadvantage into your worst nightmare. No wonder this is the preferred class for PvP lovers in Mistfall Hunter.

Nimble and fast, the Shadowstrix is a class that, once mastered, will render the player practically invulnerable (as long as it avoids Crowd Control effects). Dodging, applying super armor, and becoming invisible, or teleporting: this class is the strongest in terms of mobility, positioning, and tactical combat.

It is also the second strongest melee attacker in the game (after the Withered Knight). It has a monstrous attack speed, and can chain combos like no other class. So, without further delay, let's take a detailed look at its strengths and weaknesses:

While fighting in groups, the Shadowstrix excels at eliminating dangerous targets like Seers, Sorcerers, and Blackarrows. The Blackarrow is particularly difficult to catch once he is well positioned (if he gains the high ground, it's over), but thanks to a certain skill named Phantom Shift (from the Dual Blade branch). Plus, dual blades cause bonus damage to Players: a weapon primed for PvP.

In PvE, the optimal build is the Single Dagger, which causes tons of damage, and holds the Stealth skill branch of the Shadowstrix. Combining both builds will result in a guerrilla-like combat style that can help players pivot from PvE to PvP much more comfortably than with any other class.

The Shadowstrix's core advantage is the ability to enter Stealth and move around the battlefield to target isolated players and deliver fast, deadly combos. The core Dual Blades build focuses on using Stealth up to a certain point, but priming the Shadowstrix with more mobility, and using the empowered version of Crow Storm to Stun opponents.

The basic Shadowstrix Dual Blade Abilities are:

• Pursuit Strike: (LC) Performs a forward dash and deals multiple hits (3), causing physical damage.
• Flurry Strike: After launching a Pursuit Strike (LC), press (RC) to perform a backwards dash. Keep pressing (RC) to charge a dash strike with multiplied damage.
• Bloody Blade Dance: Holding (LC) + (RC) will perform a flurry of hits overwhelming the opponents. This attack deals enhanced damage against enemy players.
• Fang Rush: Shift + (LC). Immediately pressing the attack button after dashing forward will perform an uppercut slash. This will deactivate Dash energy recovery for 2.3 seconds after use.

These are the basic combos the Dual Blade Shadowstrix can perform. Now, to enhance these attacks, we will recommend the following active skills:

• Crow Storm: Essential. The improved version can stun players in a wide area. Also great for PvE pivots when other players bait monsters into the fight.
• Phantom Shift: Perfect for engaging/disengaging at longer distances. Can cross over certain structures, but it's very limited.

Now, for Talents, players will need to pick the following just to have a basic build:

• Lightweight: Enables the use of dodge while performing Dual Blade skills. This is basically enabling a cancel animation that will allow you to break out of wrong engagements and get into a better position.
• Wound Buildup: Every dual blade attack now applies Wound (stacks 10 times), causing DoT. It's basically bleeding; however, when it reaches 10 charges, the enemies take a burst of True Damage.
• Bloodthirsty Frenzy: After hitting an enemy with Bloody Blade Dance, it grants a stackable buff to Physical Damage. While Bloody Blade Dance is active, all projectiles are deflected. Deflecting projectiles recovers a small amount of energy.
• Wild Slash: Sword Aura from Bloody Blade Dance now recovers energy.
• Blackout: Enemies hit multiple times by Crow Storm are stunned for 1.5 seconds.

This build focuses on dealing tons of damage to enemy players and launching an AoE assault from the shadows. It relies on optimal positioning, since Stealth will enter a long cooldown period. It is extremely useful both in Solo and Trios, since it can isolate priority targets and melt them down before they become troublesome.

The Dagger branch of the Shadowstrix performs powerful single-target assaults and relies heavily on Stealth, resetting its cooldown to jump from one enemy to the other. Using strong, measured attacks and physical combos that will cause lots of damage and stagger. This is the ideal build for PvE, since it will help players deal more damage and has a lot of utility in PvP as well (though not as much as the Dual Blade build).

• Shadow Wheel Slash: Press (RC) to perform a spinning attack. Each attack has a combo chain window (approx. 0.2 secs) to execute a branching attack by pressing (LC). This is the core combo of the Dagger build
• Stealth: Hold (LC) + (RC) to crush Crow Feather Dust and enter Stealth. It can be greatly enhanced by picking some perks that will reduce its cooldown and activation time. While invisible, other players can still detect you using certain skills or when you are too close. This can also be improved with certain passives.
• Single Blade Attack: Normal Attack by pressing (LC). It can be chained with Shadow Wheel Slash.

For Active Skills, pick the following:

• Poison Crow Mark: Throws a poisoned dagger that reduces the movement speed and dodge distance of targets.
• Shadow Strike: Dashes forward, creating an illusion and confusing enemies. Enemies hit will become Stunned.

Combining the best of Stealth and the ability to apply CC, the Dagger Shadowstrix is a decent duelist able to cause damage to most PvE enemies and dodge its attacks. It performs way better than the Dual Blades build at dealing damage to monsters, but it's a bit less effective in PvP. No matter, the enhanced Stealth will still confuse and mess up the enemy players' plans enough to gain an unfair advantage.
