All Weapon Upgrade Locations in Mina the Hollower

While Mina the Hollower will let you choose between three weapons at the start, you can actually end up gathering five weapons in total throughout your journey to turn on the six generators. You can actually make it through the game without collecting them all, but why would you want to do that? In this guide, we'll show you not only where to find all the weapons in Mina the Hollower, but also where to find the two upgrades for each to fully utilize their power.

How to Get Blaststrike Maul and Its Upgrades

Blastrike Maul Locations

The Blaststrike Maul is one of the three starter weapons in Mina the Hollower. If you choose a different weapon, you can either purchase it from Legovich's Arms store in Ossex for 2000 Bones or find it in Big Lagoon's Swamp Shack in Nox's Bayou. If you're not sure how to reach that region, make sure to read our guide to accessing each area (and the recommended order).

Boom Charge Upgrade for Blaststrike Maul

The first upgrade for the Blaststrike Maul is called Boom Charge, and you can get it by paying Legovich 2500 Bones at the Arms shop.

Spin Rush Upgrade for Blaststrike Maul

The Spin Rush upgrade is located in Loner's Landing: Belowdecks, which is the same spot where the Throwing Dagger is for the Whisper and Vesper. You can read more about how to get there in the Whisper and Vesper section further down.

How to Get Nightstar and Its Upgrades

Nightstar Location

You can get Nightstar as one of the beginner weapon choices in Mina the Hollower, or you can buy it from the weapons shop in Ossex for 2000 Bones.

Dread Mace Upgrade for Nightstar

You can pay Legovich 2000 Bones to get the Dread Mace upgrade for the Nightstar.

Afterstrike Upgrade for Nightstar

To get the Afterstrike upgrade for the Nightstar, you'll have to open a chest in the Ossex Courtyard accessed via a secret tunnel in Station Underside.

How to Get Whisper and Vesper and Its Upgrades

Whisper and Vesper Locations

Whisper and Vesper is also one of the starting weapons. If you didn't pick it, you can buy it from Legovich's Arms for 2000 Bones in Ossex.

Alternatively, you can get it for free by going to the spot pictured below at the Queensbury Crypt Foyer.

Lunging Cut Upgrade for Whisper and Vesper

You can get the Lunging Cut upgrade from the Arms shop for 2000 Bones.

Throwing Dagger Upgrade for Whisper and Vesper

To get your hands on the Throwing Dagger upgrade (and the Spin Rush upgrade for the Blaststrike Maul), you'll need to find your way back to the ship where you started the game. This is called Loner's Landing: Belowdecks, and here's the route to reach it from Nox's Bayou (with screenshots to help). Remember to have a couple of Kears on you before going to the spot!

• Find Pinky's Parlor in Nox's Bayou and steal the ladder.
• Head out of the back of the shop, down one screen, then one screen to the left, passing the shop's entrance.
• Once you head one screen left of the shop, head down into the next area.
• Head out the southeast exit.
• At the train station, head south down the stairs.
• You'll see a rope to the left that's yet to be "unlocked." Plop the ladder in front of it to reach the higher platform. Break the wooden stump and head to the right.
• This will take you to Loner's Landing. Hop across the barrels and then burrow into the side of the ship.
• You'll see two upgrades behind two locks: one for the Throwing Dagger, and the other for the Spin Rush. Use two Kears to free the upgrades, but make sure to slash the seaweed on the other side to get access.

How to Get Battery Buster and Its Upgrades

Battery Buster Location

You can get the Battery Buster from the Ossex Arms shop for 2000 Bones.

Burst Shot Upgrade for Battery Buster

For the Burst Shot upgrade, you can pay 3500 Bones at Panino's in Ossex (Station Underside) or get it from a chest in the Astral Orrery: Stellarium (final area).

Charge Swing Upgrade for Battery Buster

The Charge Swing upgrade is located inside a tricky-to-reach chest at Bone Beach's Worm's Back area. Here's how to reach it fast!

If you've already started entering the mirrors in Mina the Hollower and discovered the Astral Orrery, then there's a super easy way to reach the upgrade chest.

All you need to do is enter the mirror from Astral Orrery that transports you to the Infested Tent at Bone Beach. Doing so will take you directly to the area near the chest. In the "room" with the tent, you'll see a spot in the upper-right corner that you can jump off of to land on top of one of the purple bouncy things.

Keep bouncing across the path and over the tent to travel one screen to the left. You'll find the Charge Swing upgrade in the chest.

How to Get Guardian Casket and Its Upgrades

Guardian Casket Location

Since the Guardian Casket isn't available as a starting weapon, you'll have to buy it from Legovich's Arms for 2000 Bones.

Coffin Toss Upgrade for Guardian Casket

For the Coffin Toss upgrade, you can find it in a house in Septemburg: Crow Town.

Grave Counter Upgrade for Guardian Casket

For the Grave Counter upgrade, you can buy it for 3500 Bones from Panino's back at the Ossex Station Underside (they also sell a ton of Trinkets).
