With the release of the Qinchuan map, we are finally able to explore the entirety of the Hexi region, including Jade Gate Pass, Liangzhou Town (Past and Fallen), as well as Quinchuan Path.
The Hexi update is massive and includes new world bosses, mystic skills, powerful foes, unique puzzles and oddities, and so much more. Toggle categories on and off to help narrow your search, and explore both the Old and Fallen versions of Liangzhou to ensure you don't miss a thing!
While most of the world bosses, oddities, chests, etc. are available on both versions of Liangzhou, there are some that are specific to each version of the map. To keep things simple, we've included most everything on the Old Liangzhou version of the map, and reserved only the things specific to the Fallen Liangzhou for the Fallen version.
What To Expect In Hexi
The Hexi region is a massive desert biome that gives you new ways to explore, new enemies to fight, and a slew of new items and collectibles to find. Here's what you need to know to get started off on the right foot.
Contortion (Mystic Skill)
As you are exploring Hexi, you'll encounter a handful of areas that require you to make use of the Contortion skill; shrinking yourself down to squeeze between the gaps in collapsed rubble. The Contortion Mystic Skill was added in the more recent Spring update, so be sure to complete the Tiny Adventure: Part 1 quest in Qinghe so you don't miss out on any collectibles in Hexi.
Moon Chests and Moon Shards
Unlike the Qinghe and Kaifeng regions, you wont discover any normal looking chests as you explore Jade Gate Pass and beyond. Instead, this time around you'll find Moon Shards and Moon Chests. The former is essentially the basic chest from the earlier regions, and the latter is akin to a rare chest. Regardless of their visual changes, you'll still need to collect them all if you want to get as much Echo Jade as possible.
Changing Time and Seasons
As you explore Liangzhou Town and progress the story, you'll be able to switch between the Past and Fallen versions of the map. While most of the map remains the same, the center area is vastly different between each version and both have some unique items and collectibles as well.
Similarly, when you are exploring Qinchuan Path, you can freely switch between the four seasons. Again, most everything you'll find will be available in every season. But there are a few things you'll only be able to acquire when in a specific season.
To switch between Liangzhou Past and Fallen, as well as the seasons for Qinchuan Path, simply go to your map and adjust it in the top left corner.
