A new infographic from online trading card marketplace TCGPlayer has revealed the 10 most expensive cards in Magic: the Gathering's Secrets of Strixhaven expansion. The collection of pricey Magic cards includes several of the most popular cards from the Mystical Archive subset.
Wizards of the Coast's return to the plane of Arcavios has been one of the most highly anticipated expansions of the year for many fans. Secrets of Strixhaven introduces the new Prepared mechanic, with some of the set's new creatures coming with powerful Instant and Sorcery spells attached that players can cast after fulfilling certain conditions. The expansion also welcomed the return of the Mystical Archive cards from Strixhaven: School of Mages, reprinting some of Magic's most powerful cards with gorgeous alt art versions. Now, some of the set's Japanese alternate art cards are commanding high price tags.

A graphic shared by TCGPlayer lists the 10 most expensive cards in Secrets of Strixhaven, specifically focusing on the special Japanese Silver Scroll cards. The Silver Scroll version of Force of Will easily carries the highest price tag of the entire set, with the card's market price sitting at just over $1,000. The set features one other card above a $500 price tag with the special version of Vampiric Tutor priced at $557.25, while Cyclonic Rift sits at $347.62. The top five is rounded out with the Silver Scroll printings for Jeska's Will and Ad Nauseum, having market prices of $327.05 and $253.25, respectively.
The Silver Scroll foil cards in Secrets of Strixhaven hold the highest prices in the entire set, and for good reason. Each Silver Scroll card is printed in Japanese and is only available through Collector's Boosters of Secrets of Strixhaven, which already boast secondary market prices of about $45 per pack. The printings are also a rare find within their respective packs, with roughly a 5% chance to pull an Uncommon Silver Scroll, a 7.7% chance to pull a Rare, and a 2.3% chance for a Mythic.
While Silver Scroll foils are some of the most elusive cards in Secrets of Strixhaven, Magic fans have plenty of chances to get regular Mystical Archive cards. Secrets of Strixhaven includes one of the normal Mystical Archive cards in each pack, with 65 different cards included in the set. Because of Mystical Archive's status as a subset, many of its reprints are not legal for Magic's Standard format, though the subset does include some popular Standard-legal cards like Stock Up, Bitter Triumph, and Burst Lightning.
