5 2027 LEGO Star Wars Sets Detailed in New Leak

Details about five new LEGO Star Wars sets poised to drop early next year have been leaked online. As Star Wars gears up to celebrate its 50th anniversary, LEGO is joining in on the fun with some unique sets that are a distinct departure from its previous lines from a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars has been a staple for LEGO for many years, even spawning numerous spin-off video games that recreate movies from the sci-fi saga. As a result, there is no shortage of LEGO Star Wars leaks, with tons of products in development at any given time. Small details about these leaks may change upon launch, but it's fun to have a broad idea of what's coming in the near future.

LEGO Star Wars Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Printed Movie Poster Tiles

The first arriving on January 1 is the Stormtrooper Helmet (Concept Art), which will be based on Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art for the original film. Things really start to ramp up on April 1 with three releases. First up is a poster, which recreates A New Hope's theatrical poster in LEGO form. Next is the George Lucas Tribute, which is a black-base diorama depicting the filming of A New Hope in Tunisia. According to the report, this will feature a landspeeder with mirrors on the side to emulate how this scene was filmed in real life, a moisture evaporator, and a camera build with a director's chair, as well as minifigures of George Lucas, a cameraman, a boom mic operator, Luke, Obi-Wan, R2-D2, and C-3PO.

All New Leaked LEGO Star Wars Sets

The final set coming on April 1 is the Star Wars Movie Theater, which is inspired by cinemas in China. This comes with a sidewalk and ticket counter, alongside minifigures of workers and Star Wars cosplayers, as well as four fans. One month later, the UCS Tie Advanced is expected to be released, arriving with a Darth Vader minifigure. Unfortunately, BrickTap has been unable to confirm the price or piece count for any of these sets at this point in time.

The major revelation here is that every LEGO Star Wars display set in 2027 will feature a printed 6x8 tile of a movie poster in typical LEGO style, with A New Hope allegedly getting multiple different posters. Of the upcoming sets, Stormtrooper Helmet (Concept Art) will include the Rogue One poster, George Lucas Tribute features a Return of the Jedi poster, Star Wars Poster has an A New Hope poster, and UCS Tie Advanced has an Attack of the Clones poster. Meanwhile, the Star Wars Movie Theater set will include both The Phantom Menace and A New Hope posters, which are interchangeable with ones from other sets in the display. It's unclear which sets will include posters for the other Star Wars movies at this point in time, but as a celebration of the series' 50th anniversary, it's an excellent and welcome bonus to add to these sets.

Fans can expect 2027 to be a huge year for LEGO Star Wars. Given the enormity of the 50th anniversary milestone, it will undoubtedly be marked with huge celebrations and tons of amazing LEGO sets. 2026 has already seen some great LEGO Star Wars sets, but by the sounds of some of 2027's early offerings, it's set to take a unique direction next year.
