What You Need Before Solving Every Riddler Puzzle in Old Gotham West
You can’t solve every Riddler Puzzle in Old Gotham West as soon as you reach the district. To start, you'll need to have unlocked every character, as all seven are used at some point. For unlock timing, see our How to Unlock All Playable Characters guide.
Also, the Riddle by Riddle Puzzle Room doesn't unlock until you've completed the preceding Riddler Puzzle Rooms, and you won't have access to the Riddler vs Cluemaster Puzzle Room until you've solved every other Riddler Puzzle as well as all 60 Cluemaster Puzzles. This means that the tenth Old Gotham West Riddler Puzzle Box will be the very last Puzzle Box collectible you can get.
All Old Gotham West Riddler Puzzle Solutions
Crane Supreme Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 321, 483
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Batgirl
Wait for the moving cage to stop near the cube and open. When it does, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the gears next to the cube to stop the cage in place, then push the cube into it.
Hit the foam with a projectile to start the moving cage again. When the cage reaches the bottom and opens, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the gears again to stop it in position.
Now go to the roof where the cage stopped and pull the cube out of it, stopping only when you can pull no further. Then use Batgirl’s Hackarang on the device to the left of the cube to control the suspended hook. Move the hook over the cube and lower it all the way to solve the puzzle.
Into the Spotlight Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 303, 464
- Required Character: Any character
Follow the wires attached to the cube to reach a roof with three spotlights. Point the spotlights at the question mark on the wall, using the change lens input to find shapes that fit perfectly into the symbol.
The light will turn green when you have the correct shape in the correct spot, and the cube will be accessible once all three spotlights are in position.
The Fault in Our Statues Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 330, 449
- Required Character: Robin
Break the dumpster in the corner northeast of the cube to reveal an electrical box. Break the lock and press the button to activate the three switches on the wall.
Now use Robin’s Birdarang to target all three switches at once, starting with the left switch and ending with the right switch. Then release the projectile so it hits all three switches in one throw, and press the red button near the cube to solve the puzzle.
Bridge, But Not Too Far Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 291, 400
- Required Characters: Robin, Batman
Enter the aerial bridge to find a device connected to the cage with the cube. Use Robin’s staff to pry the blocker off the device, then insert his staff into the device's yellow circle and slide it all the way to the right to move the cube to the right side of the cage.
Now pull the cube out of the cage and use Batman’s Batclaw on the yellow attachment point to solve the puzzle.
Under Pressure Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 281, 401
- Required Characters: Talia, Batman
Use Batman’s X-ray vision on the toolbox by the cube. Follow the underground wires to find one that runs up the wall next to two garage doors and into a visible red wire that leads to the roof.
Follow the red wire to a small structure with a propeller. Use Talia’s Ninja Dash to get past the propeller and enter the room. Once inside, turn the wheel all the way to the right to release the cube.
Denying Gravity Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 271, 385
- Required Character: Catwoman
The cube is stuck in the end of a yellow pipe. Follow the yellow pipe down to street level, then use Catwoman to climb the wall to the right of the pipe and activate the switch at the top.
Next, use Catwoman’s Whip to remove the screw blocking the bottom of the pipe. After that, head back up to the end of the pipe with the cube, break the three crates next to it, and use the components to build a device that hits the cube. This will send the cube through the pipe and out the bottom.
Unstill as a Statue Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 223, 366
- Required Character: Nightwing
Push the three small minifig statues onto the platforms surrounding the central statue. Break any objects that are blocking their paths so they can be moved into position.
Once all three statues are placed, flip the switch on the generator across from the cube. Then use Nightwing’s Electric Cable Launcher to connect the generator to the point above the cube.
Slots of Fun Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 241, 339
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Batgirl
To solve Slots of Fun, you need to find the correct three symbols and enter them into the device near the cube.
- Left symbol: Send Batgirl’s drone through the window above the pipe.
- Middle symbol: Grab the card on the ground under the elevated walkway, then insert it into the device on the walkway next to the horizontal green question mark panel.
- Right symbol: Use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer to stop the water from the pipe, then inspect the piece on the ground.
After entering the correct symbols into the device, flip the switch to solve the puzzle.
Riddle by Riddle Riddler Puzzle Room Solution
- Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 314, 411
- Required Characters: Catwoman, Batman
Riddle by Riddle is found inside a Puzzle Room at 314, 411. As with other Riddler Puzzle Rooms, this puzzle is solved by putting objects in the positions shown when looking in a mirror. If the Puzzle Room is not on the map yet, continue solving Riddler Puzzles and Puzzle Rooms across Gotham until it appears.
Once inside, use Batman’s Batclaw on the panel on the wall at the far end to remove it. Then use UV vision on the nearby paint and follow the paint marks on the floor down the stairs. They lead to a bookcase that will explode.
Use Batman’s Spray Explosive on the wall that is revealed to enter a room with a cage. Climb the wall to the left of the cage with Catwoman and activate the switch at the top to open the cage. Then use Batman’s Batclaw on the yellow attachment point inside the cage to get a crank.
Take the crank back upstairs to where you found the paint. Insert it into the gears and crank it all the way to the right to raise the chandelier into the correct position.
Next, go through the opening that was revealed when you pulled the panel off the wall at the beginning. Crawl through the vent to enter a small room, then break the cart blocking the dumbwaiter. Put the candles from the table on the dumbwaiter and press the red button to send them down. The candles are now in the correct position.
Pass back through the vent, go into the hallway to the left of the paint, and enter the room on your right. Use Batman’s X-ray vision on the toolbox in the corner and follow the green wire in the wall to find a switch hidden behind a bookcase. The bookcase will break, allowing you to hit the switch.
Grab the boombox in the room and take it down the stairs. Put it on the pedestal closest to the mirror. Then use Catwoman to cut the glass of the vitrine in the back corner to get a lamp, and place the lamp on the table by the boombox. When everything is in the correct position, the mirror will rise, allowing you to collect the Puzzle Box.
Riddler vs Cluemaster Puzzle Room Solution
- Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 198, 353
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Robin
- Unlock Requirement: Collect all 60 Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes and the other 60 Riddler Puzzle Boxes.
Riddler vs Cluemaster is the final Puzzle Room, and it only unlocks after you have collected all 60 Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes and the other 60 Riddler Puzzle Boxes. As noted, this is the last Puzzle Box you can collect, and it combines the robot paths from Cluemaster Puzzle Rooms with the mirror-object placement from Riddler Puzzle Rooms.
Room 1 Solution
Start by using Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the three vents that are pushing tiles upward. Then look in the mirror in the room to see which squares on the robot path are electrified, where the ending square is, and where the objects should go.
Start by working on the robot path. Most of the tiles you need are around the puzzle board, but don’t forget the three tiles on the vents you clogged at the start. Insert the tiles in this order, then press the red button:
- Room 1 Robot Path: West, west, north, north, north, east
After the robot path is solved, place the objects on the board as shown in the mirror. The bear goes on the front-right square, the candles go next to the bear, and the mask goes diagonal from the candles. Notably, you can put the bear and candles on the board before running the robot, but placing the mask will block its path.
Room 2 Solution
Start by entering the correct code (2143) into the tumbler puzzle, which is revealed by looking at the wall above the tumbler puzzle in the mirror. As was the case in Room 1, you'll also be able to see which squares on the robot path are electrified, where the ending square is, and where the objects should go when looking in the mirror.
Two large conveyor belts flanking the tumbler puzzle will activate when you enter the code, and they provide all the tiles you need. You're now ready to solve the robot puzzle on the right side of the room by inserting tiles in this order:
- Right Robot Path: South (two arrows), west (two arrows), west, north (two arrows)
Before pressing the red button to run the robot, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the two fire-emitting squares on the board closest to the mirror. Then use Robin’s Cable Launcher to connect the connector point close to the mirror to the connector point across the board from it. This moves a platform, which will get stopped by the foam, allowing the robot to cross to the ending square.
Solving this robot puzzle causes the bust with the hat to appear to the right of the board, which you'll eventually use to solve the mirror puzzle on the right side of the room.
Use the lever between the two puzzle boards to move the mirror to the left side of the room, revealing electrified tiles, the ending square, and object placement for the left puzzle. Then solve the left robot puzzle by inserting the tiles in this order and pressing the red button:
- Left Robot Path: North (two arrows), north, west (two arrows), south
Once the robot has run, focus on solving the left mirror puzzle. Both the bear and candles you need are right next to the board. The bear should go on the front-right square, and the candles should go on the front-left square.
It's finally time to solve the right mirror puzzle. Grab the bust that appeared next to the left board and put it on the back-left square of the right board. Then grab the bust with the hat that appeared to the right of the right board and put it on the front-right square of the right board. Once both mirror puzzles are solved, you can move into the final room.
Room 3 Solution
For the final room, just insert the five north tiles and press the red button to run over Riddler and Cluemaster and complete the last Puzzle Room.
