Looking to solve every Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight? Old Gotham North has eight Riddler Puzzles to find and solve, and several of them require specific characters before they can be completed.

This guide primarily focuses on puzzle solutions, since Riddler Puzzle icons can be revealed on the map after activating the district tower. Below, you’ll find every Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, its coordinates, any required character or ability, and how to solve it.

All Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzles Overview

There are eight Riddler Puzzles in Old Gotham North. Most are found in the open world, but one is inside a Puzzle Room that only becomes available after you complete five other Puzzle Rooms. You can see in-game coordinates by opening the map, moving the cursor around, and looking in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

What You Need Before Solving Every Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle

You can't solve every Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle as soon as you reach the district. Several puzzles require later characters, including Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin. Jim Gordon and Batman’s core tools are also used, but you should already have them by the time you are seriously clearing Old Gotham North.

The last puzzle, Our Riddle Secret, is also different from the others. It's found inside a Puzzle Room at 407, 448, which only unlocks after you complete five other Puzzle Rooms. If you can't access it yet, keep solving Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles around Gotham until more Puzzle Rooms become available.

All Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzle Solutions

Arch de Triomphe Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 425, 471
• Required Character: Nightwing

Insert Nightwing's staff into the device to the left of the cube and slide it to open a gate. Break the containers past the gate and use their components to build a button in front of the gate with the cube.

Put Batman on the button and then stand directly in front of the cube gate with Nightwing. Use his electrified Batarang to hit the electric box past the gate and gain access to the cube.

This step is easier in co-op, since one player can keep Batman on the button while the other uses Nightwing to hit the electric box.

Holed Up Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 368, 464
• Required Character: Catwoman

This cube is tucked into an alcove in a wall. Follow the cable connected to the alcove to reach its power supply. Use Catwoman to climb the wall next to it, activate the switch at the top, and then use her Whip on the screw inside the power supply. Now fall off the wall and into the alcove.

Can't Park There, Mate Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 375, 448
• Required Character: Catwoman

Use Catwoman's Call Kitty ability and send her cat through the vent to the left of the van blocking the cube. Grab the key in the room with the cube and take it back to Catwoman.

Now break the red toolbox next to the van and use the components to make a hitch on its front. Hop into a Batmobile, connect your tow to the hitch, and pull to move the van forward. You can then use the key on the gate to access the cube.

Missed Connections Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 362, 433
• Required Character: Nightwing

To solve this puzzle, you must use Nightwing's electrified Cable Launcher to connect a generator to a device with symbols. That connection will cause a symbol to rotate, and the goal is to disconnect the generator when the symbol matches the symbol shown on the device.

Disconnecting the generator can be a bit finicky, as the way to remove the lines from the Cable Launcher does not always feel consistent. I'd recommend you try hitting a connected line with a Batarang, as that often disconnects it. If that doesn't work, try running a second line between the symbol connected to the generator and a second symbol, which should remove the first line.

The Ladder of Success Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 392, 404
• Required Character: Batman / Jim Gordon

Use the Batclaw to reveal gears next to the switch, and collect the key. Press the switch to lower the cage with the cube, and use Jim Gordon's Foam Sprayer on the gears to hold it in place.

Now drop to the platform next to the lowered cage. Go to the bottom of the platform and push it to the right so that it's directly next to the cage. Use your key to open it.

Strike a Balance Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 347, 368
• Required Character: Robin

Go to the roof of the building across from the cube, where you'll find a column with question marks. Use Robin's Cable Launcher to create a line between the column and the building to the right of the cube.

Position yourself near the middle of the line and use Robin's Batarang, which can hit three targets in one throw, to activate the switches on the building in this order: left, right, middle.

Power Climb Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: 332, 354
• Required Character: Any character with a Batarang-style ranged attack

Get on the roof of the building behind the cube to find a power line attached to a series of targets. Use a Batarang to hit the switch at the bottom, starting the power, and then hit the targets to direct the power to the top of the building.

Our Riddle Secret Riddler Puzzle Solution

• Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 407, 448
• Required Character: Batman

This puzzle is in a Puzzle Room at 407, 448. If you can't enter it, complete more Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles to open additional Puzzle Rooms. Return to this one in Old Gotham North once you have completed five Puzzle Rooms.

Once you're inside, take these actions to solve the puzzle:

1. Grab the boombox from the counter on the side of the room opposite the mirror. Place it on the end of the table closest to the mirror.
2. Use a Batarang to destroy the hanging object just in front of the entrance to the room with the mirror. Use the components to complete the shelf in the corner, pull it over with Batclaw, and grab the lamp. Put it on the side table in the room with the mirror, just left after you enter it.
3. Collect the bust with the hat from the cubicle across from the entrance to the room with the mirror. Put it on the podium next to the TVs in the mirror room to solve the puzzle and gain access to the cube.

Do Towers Reveal Old Gotham North Riddler Puzzles?

Yes, activating the Old Gotham North Tower will reveal collectible and activity icons in the district, including Riddler Puzzles. However, finding a puzzle is just the beginning, as you must then solve it.

Additionally, you won't see an icon for the Puzzle Room with Our Riddle Secret if you haven't already completed five Puzzle Rooms. If you only see icons for seven Riddler Puzzles in Old Gotham North, solve more Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles around Gotham, complete the Puzzle Rooms that unlock, and then return to the room at 407, 448.
