LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight New Beginnings Surfboards & Red Brick

Missing a collectible in the Docks section of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s New Beginnings mission? This level has five Surfboards and one Red Brick to find, and most of them are easy to miss if you follow the main objective too quickly.

All Five Surfboard Locations in New Beginnings

Surfboard #1

• Current Objective: Chase Detective Flass

Follow the main path until you play as Jim Gordon and gum up the cogs to stop a yellow container from smashing you. Look left after you pass under that container to find Surfboard #1 near a cart you must move.

Surfboard #2

• Current Objective: Chase Detective Flass

Continue along the main path to reach a short cutscene where Flass makes a suspended green container spin. As soon as you regain control, look to your right to find a Surfboard propped in the corner.

Surfboard #3

• Current Objective: Chase Detective Flass

Keep following the main path, and use Gordon to stop the fast-moving green containers. You'll find enemies with guns just past those crates, and Surfboard #3 is directly in front of you, at the bottom of a ladder.

Surfboard #4

• Current Objective: Chase Detective Flass

After defeating the enemies with guns, pass through a small warehouse and take a left at the ice cream truck. Follow the gold Stud path to find a Surfboard against a wall near the water.

Surfboard #5

• Current Objective: Build something to reach Flass

When you start building the battering ram, look in the corner to the right of the machine to find the final Surfboard. Make sure you break it and have dealt with all other collectibles before you talk to Flass, as you won't be able to go back after you start interacting with him.

New Beginnings Red Brick Location

Nautical Red Brick

• Current Objective: Build something to reach Flass

When you reach the section where you have to build the battering ram, use your grapple to get on top of the building with the yellow and black signs to the left of the machine. Drop through the roof to find the Nautical Red Brick collectible.

What Does the Nautical Red Brick Do?

You can apply the Nautical Red Brick to your outfits and vehicles to give them a dark blue, aqua, and yellow color scheme.

New Beginnings Collectible Rewards

If you break all five Surfboards, you'll receive the Surfboard Trophy, which you'll eventually be able to use to customize your Batcave lair.

Can You Replay the Docks Section of New Beginnings for Missed Collectibles?

Yes, you can replay New Beginnings later, so none of its collectibles are permanently missable. However, most Surfboards and the Red Brick can be missed during your first run if you move too quickly.
