Summary

- Combining abilities, CC, and ultimates can lead to exciting and successful Bot Lanes.
League of Legends was released well over a decade ago, and since then, Riot Games has done a good job of constantly updating Champions, items, and Summoner's Rift. The game certainly has its issues, whether it be overloaded Champions or in-game toxicity, but it is still played by millions of people. League of Legends requires a fair bit of strategy, but it is simple to understand, especially since every Champion has a designated role.
All New 2026 Items In League Of Legends, Ranked
From Fiendhunter Bolts to Dusk and Dawn, these new League of Legends items are set to dominate the competitive meta in 2026.
Bot Lane tends to have an ADC, who is usually a marksman capable of dealing a lot of physical or true damage in the later stages of a game. The ADC is always paired with a Support, who typically helps the team by tanking damage, or by providing healing, shielding, or crowd control. Most games feature traditional Bot Lanes, but there are a few unorthodox, funny Bot Lane combos that can be quite effective.
Updated on March 3rd, 2026, by Joe Grantham: If there's one constant regarding League of Legends, it's the fact that it never stops changing. Every two weeks, patches shake things up, and even the smallest of changes can open the door for new innovations. Therefore, there will always be new hilarious combos to try out for better or worse. The most fun Bot Lane combos in League typically rely on two abilities working in tandem in a way that the enemy just isn't ready for. While these funny Bot Lane duos might not always be suited for climbing the ranked ladder, they are perfect for having a laugh with friends in casual games.
These Duos Can Also Work In Arena
Many of these fun Bot Lane duos also work in Arena, where multiple teams of two take turns to fight one another until only one pair is left standing. There are also no minions to farm in Arena, which is beneficial to double-melee duos who may struggle to last hit against ranged Bot Lanes. With lower stakes and no additional teammates to worry about, Arena can also be a great place to learn these fun combos before jumping onto Summoner's Rift.
Miss Fortune & Zoe
Miss Fortune's Ult Doesn't Wake Up Enemies Put To Sleep By Zoe
On top of a Miss Fortune and Zoe lane having lots of poke and damage potential, there's one key combo that makes them pop off. If Miss Fortune starts ulting an enemy while they are drowsy from Zoe's Trouble Bubble and just before they get put to sleep, then her continuing Bullet Time will not wake them up.
With Sleep lasting for 2.25 seconds and MF's ult channeling for 3 seconds, only the tankiest foes will survive their nightmare. This also works with Lilia's sleep, which can be applied to many champions, but she isn't as reliable a support as Zoe.
Taliyah & Pantheon
Point & Click CC Into Instant Burst
Taliyah has a lot of burst potential, but it's hard to hit her W - Seismic Shove on moving targets. However, with Pantheon's point-and-click stun, she can easily flip foes onto her Unraveled Earth and barrage them with Threaded Volleys. Pantheon with Lethality also packs a punch, meaning this simple combo is often fatal.
Against squishy ADCs and Supports, this will be successful more often than not, but outside of lane, the duo can roam together with their long-range ults. Pantheon will crash down with Grand Starfall, while Taliyah joins him from atop her Weaver's Wall.
Ivern & Maokai
Two Trees With Endless Crowd Control
Aside from the fact that Ivern and Maokai are the two tree champions in League of Legends, they also have surprisingly good synergy together. Part of their success stems from Ivern's Rootcaller, which not only roots enemies but also allows allies to click and travel to them. For Maokai, who wants to get in the thick of things, this is ideal.
How to Enable WASD Controls in League of Legends
If players are wondering how to turn on WASD controls in League of Legends and deciding whether they should switch, this guide will cover all.
He can then knock enemies back and root them with his Q and W, while soaking up damage thanks to the shield Ivern will have placed on him. This Triggerseed shield will also explode, and with Maokai's saplings and Ivern able to safely auto from bushes of his own creation, the damage stacks up. With their ults, this twisted tree duo gets even more CC, and Daisy joins Maokai in the frontlines. Maokai, who has inbuilt sustain and tankiness, will also benefit from Ivern's support items that heal and shield him even more.
Xin Zhao & Zaahen
Play Two Champions Who Are Almost One And The Same In The Lore
In the lore, Xin Zhao became a temporary human host for League's newest Darkin and Top Laner, Zaahen, in order for him to defeat Atakhan. Wielding Xin Zhao's spear, they also have similar abilities, such as both knocking up via autos with their Qs and thrusting the spear with their Ws.
Combining these abilities together can therefore be highly satisfying to use against unsuspecting Bot Laners, and if the pair sheds enough blood, Atakhan will spawn on their side of the map, setting up for an epic lore showdown. They both also have plenty of sustain, allowing them to dive deep in fights and brawl it out together.
Singed & Zilean
Make Singed Run Even Faster & With A Bomb Attached
Singed can be one of the most annoying champions in League to face, as he runs around poisoning everyone while flipping them and laughing. However, paired with Zilean, he becomes an even greater terror. Zilean can turn the already fast Singed into an unstoppable psychopath with ludicrous movement speed, while also attaching bombs to Singed.
Singed then runs in, spreads his poison, and delivers Zilean's time bombs to the enemy back line before they have time to react. If the Singed wants to build more damage with the consequence of being squishy, he can do so with the peace of mind that he has Zilean's ult to revive him.
Nocturne & Fiddlesticks
The Fear Lane
Nocturne and Fiddlesticks are all about fear, and both use the actual Fear CC mechanic, making for a spooky yet successful combo. First of all, Nocturne almost doubles his movement speed when facing Feared targets, so Fiddlesticks can set him up, making it easier to land Nocturne's own Fear.

The best part, however, is combining their ults. Nocturne turns the lights out with his ult, allowing Fiddlesticks to channel his ult in the darkness, before jumping in at the same time as Nocturne to fear everyone. While they may struggle in some lanes, it is certainly one of the most fun combos to pull out, especially at Halloween each year.
Garen & Yuumi
A Duo Picked At Worlds 2019
Fans of professional League of Legends may remember Fnatic pulling out the Garen and Yuumi combo at Worlds 2019, and it has been picked at other times, too. Yuumi essentially makes Garen an unstoppable beast, with movement speed boosts, healing and shielding, and most importantly, slows from Yuumi's Q to hunt enemies down.
Although the early laning phase can be rough against two ranged champions, Garen will eventually become unkillable, which means Yuumi gets to stay on him permanently, never being attacked herself. They are also a strong duo to play in League's Arena mode.
Taric & Wukong
Wukong Can Go Invisible & Set Up Taric's Stun
Despite being a Jungler and Top Laner by design, Wukong is no stranger to the Bot Lane, having been played alongside Senna in previous seasons. However, he can also work well with Taric, who similarly sustains him with heals, and yet is also the perfect dive partner.
The best part of this combo is Taric's E, which is a stun fired from himself, but also from his bound partner, Wukong. Unlike other partners, Wukong can go momentarily invisible, leaving behind a clone for confusion, while he goes in with a dash and Taric's stun. This combo becomes even more deadly when Wukong can follow this up with his ult, while Taric's ult makes them both invulnerable while diving.
Cho'Gath & Tahm Kench
Two Tanky Boys Who Can Eat Their Enemies
Cho'Gath and Tahm Kench have similar playstyles; they are both tanky, with ranged CC, and most importantly, they can both eat champions. In the Bot Lane, together, they are extremely difficult to kill, and once one of them hits a single CC ability, the rest can be chained on.
League Of Legends: Yunara Guide
This guide for Yunara in League of Legends will break down all her abilities, show players what to build, and give them tips for the new ADC.
In terms of who farms and who plays support, Cho'Gath has an easier time farming at range, and is arguably more reliant on tank items than Tahm, who was designed as a Support. Best of all, however, is when these tanky boys hit level 6. Tahm can apply stacks on an enemy, gobble them up to deal lots of damage, and then spit them out for Cho to feast on with his execute.
Katarina & Rakan
They Can Both Jump To One Another And Go In
Katarina is an assassin designed for multikills, and where better to fight more opponents than Bot Lane. When playing for fun, Katarina can be part of kill lanes in Bot, but she needs an engage support to go in first. Rakan is perfect for her, with his AoE Crowd Control, but the pair have even better synergy thanks to their Es, which allow them to jump to one another.
For example, Katarina could play forward, allowing Rakan to jump to her. He then uses his W to go in and knock up the enemies, before Kat uses her own E to jump to Rakan. This combo gets even more deadly post level 6, with Rakan charming the enemies while Katarina's AoE ult shreds them. They can also use their jumps to one another defensively to slip away.
