Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has a few different endings depending on certain choices made before and during the last main quest, Judgement Day. However, throughout the game, there are a few other secret KCD2 endings, where players complete quests in unexpected ways that change history.

In such cases, a unique ending is displayed, but unfortunately, players must then reload their most recent save if they want to carry on with the game. Similarly, some unique deaths in KCD2 can be seen as alternative endings to Henry's story.

This article contains numerous spoilers for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's main story as well as some side quests and DLC missions.

Updated on March 11th, 2026, by Joe Grantham: With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now available on Game Pass, more people have access to 14th-century Bohemia and the tales of Henry of Skalitz. For those who like to find out about all the game's secrets, this article has been updated to include even more secret deaths and endings. Of course, in a game so vast and with survival mechanics, there are many embarrassing ways to die, so those considered 'secret' are the most hilarious and peculiar of these.

Death By Dancing

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Dancing With Doubravka

Wedding Crashers is one of the most memorable quests in KCD2, and while Henry can rush through the nuptials to reach the end, there are plenty of optional activities and guests to talk to. One such guest is Doubravka, who can be romanced by dancing with her.

However, dancing isn't poor Doubravka's forte, and she will constantly step on Henry's feet, dealing a small amount of damage each time. If Henry is already low on health, perhaps from the dueling contest or uncooked food, he can die from this clumsy dance.

Losing Von Bergow's Trust

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Otto von Bergow

In a second playthrough of KCD2 in particular, players may be eager to help Jan Zizka before he is revealed. It is even possible to fully investigate Nebakov during Hans and Henry's brief visit during the Back in the Saddle quest and figure out the truth.

If this is the case and players decide to attack Lord Bergow's soldiers at Trosky before the For Victory! quest can begin, then they are in for a secret game over. Killing enough of these troops will trigger a game over that states Henry has lost the trust of Lord Bergow. This is a fail-safe, as these soldiers are needed for the following quest, which is part of the main story.

Henry's Story Can End On The Gallows

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Henry About To Be Hanged From The Gallows

One of the unique game overs relates to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's crime and punishment system. If Henry commits a minor crime, he will be humiliated in the stocks, and upon further infraction of the law, he will be caned. However, for more serious crimes, such as murder, Henry will at first be branded as a criminal and shunned from society.

If he is still branded and caught red-handed again, a cutscene will play of Henry being hanged for his crimes, resulting in a game over.

Don't Make Gunpowder While Drunk

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Pistole Fired - Henry

As part of alchemy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry can make gunpowder, either lead shot or scattershot, using ingredients such as sulfur and saltpeter.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Turn Semine In or Not Choice Guide (Necessary Evil)

Players wondering if they should turn Semine in or not in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can use this guide to decide.

However, making gunpowder while drunk is not a good idea, and if players make this mistake, Henry can be blown up. There is a unique sound and death message for this rare event, as well as an Achievement/Trophy.

The Assassination Of King Sigismund

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - King Sigismund

During the King's Gambit quest, Henry will serve wine and run errands for the Kuttenberg council and eventually King Sigismund. The aim is to spy on the king, but if players hide a knife before starting the quest and retrieve it while fetching an item for a councilor, they can assassinate Sigismund.

There is even a unique animation for this assassination, and once it's complete, players will receive the following message for committing regicide:

THE END... You killed King Sigismund, although you died at his guard's hands shortly after. King Wenceslas soon returned to the Bohemian throne, Jan Hus was never burned at the stake, and the Hussite Wars never took place.

As usual with these secret endings, players must reload their previous save and complete the mission as intended, as this changes history too much, and the game cannot continue with Henry dead.

For a full breakdown on how to achieve the secret Sigismund ending, check out this guide. Interestingly, if players fail at this quest, they will be given the following game-over screen:

GAME OVER... You were not inconspicuous enough at the court. You were revealed to be a spy, and the next morning you were executed.

Take Out Sigismund's Army During The Lion's Den Quest

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Sigismund's Camp

As part of the Lion's Den main quest, Henry infiltrates Sigismund's camp in order to plan an ambush on his army. There are also a number of side quests to engage with, and Henry can pretend to enlist and sleep in the camp.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - 8 Best Early Game Weapons, Ranked

With these weapons, Henry’s early game in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 becomes much easier!

During this time, players can try to slowly kill as many of Sigismund's soldiers as possible, perhaps by poisoning the food and wine or by murdering them as they sleep. If Henry kills enough of Sigismund's men, players will be rewarded with a secret victory screen that reads as follows:

THE END... You changed history! Sigismund lost his army and returned to Hungary in disgrace. King Wenceslas acknowledged you as Sir Radzig's rightful heir, you lived happily until 1416, when you set out with your father for Kuttenberg.

Unfortunately, as this army is integral to the rest of the plot, players will still have to reload their previous save to continue with the story.

Henry Solo-Handedly Lifts The Siege Of Suchdol

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Reckoning - Prague Uniform

During the Reckoning quest near the end of the game, Henry and Samuel are tasked with sneaking out of Suchdol and finding a horse within Markvart von Aulitz's camp to be able to deliver a message.

However, as usual, things go awry. While trying to rescue Samuel, many players will simply rely on stealth to make their way through the camp. On the other hand, killing a few of the men can help with the mission and is beneficial to Henry's friends awaiting their fate in the castle.

If players decide to go on a killing spree, however, and manage to wipe out the entire Praguers' camp, they will receive a special acknowledgment that reads as follows:

A miracle has happened! God's hand guided your weapon and thanks to it, not a single soldier was left alive in the Praguers' camp. But now is not the time to celebrate! Your friends and the silver are still in danger! Saddle your horse and hurry for help!

Best of all, this isn't counted as a game over, and players can continue with their save.

The Secret Theresa Ending

Theresa watching Henry in Kingdom Come Deliverance

Those who played the first game will remember Theresa as Henry's primary love interest, but unfortunately, she does not accompany Henry to the Trosky and Kuttenberg regions. However, her name can come up in conversations when characters ask Henry about his love life.

If Henry states early on that Theresa is his partner and continues to bring up her name whenever possible, there is a chance to get a secret Theresa ending after Henry's conversation with his parents at the end of the Judgement Day quest. The cutscene will show Henry back in Rattay returning to Theresa at her Uncle's mill.

The requirements for this ending are:

  • Declare Theresa as your sweetheart at the start of the game in conversation around the campfire.
  • Don't fully romance Hans, Katherine, or Rosa.
  • Have a positive Reputation.
  • Choose the 'settle down and start a family' option at the end.
  • Then, finally, choose Theresa.

Henry Gets Thrown Out Of The Monastery

If he is caught outside the infirmary by a guard, he can ask to be returned, but if he upsets the guards and gets sent to the abbot for a second time, he will be banished from the Monastery, resulting in a game over. The message depends on where players are up to in the story, but it's always insinuated that the situation at the Monastery worsens, suggesting that Henry's mistakes inadvertently lead to many deaths.

Death By Crayfish

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Our Daily Bread Guide - Crayfish & Book

During the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC quest known as Our Daily Bread, Henry is tasked with finding crayfish in the monastery ponds. However, these little guys can snap their claws, dealing a small amount of damage to Henry. If he happens to be extremely low on health when fishing for crayfish, he can die, and players will be rewarded with the following sarcastic death message.

GAME OVER... You've joined a very exclusive group of people who were killed by a crayfish pinch. Well done.

Doing so will also reward players with the Ostraconophobia Achievement/Trophy for KCD2.
