Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 finished its run earlier this year, in March 2026. Although not as big as the second season, it was warmly received by all the fans, and fans have since been waiting for more animated content. While JJK Season 4 was believed to be the next animated project of MAPPA, the studio revealed a pleasant surprise for the fans that shocked many. On April 30, 2026, Studio MAPPA officially revealed a fully animated trailer of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, bringing to life the brilliant characters of Gege Akutami and the art of Yuji Iwasaki. This beautiful story was fully brought to life in a 30-second PV, and can be watched here:

The newly revealed PV features the main characters Yuka, Tsurugi, Cross, and Maru, as well as Yuji Itadori and Dabura, among many others. It especially highlights some of the best moments of the series, such as Yuka Okkotsu summoning Mahoraga against Dabura, and the return of Rika. The PV stays faithful to the art style of Yuji Iwasaki, which is quite distinct from that of Gege Akutami. Needless to say, this trailer definitely looks different from the original JJK anime, but it's stunning nonetheless.

A Full-Fledged Modulo Anime Is Likely Coming After Shinjuku Showdown Arc

The Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo teaser by MAPPA has only excited the fans even more for the future of JJK, even more than the upcoming season. Fans undoubtedly want a full-fledged JJK Modulo anime, and it is highly likely that they'll eventually get it. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is a hugely popular series, but more than that, some very important plot points of the story are tied up in it. As such, Modulo getting an anime adaptation is extremely necessary for the story to be completed. With that being said, while Modulo will someday get an anime, it will not be coming anytime soon. MAPPA Studio is currently animating the original manga by Gege Akutami, so it would not make sense for them to adapt its sequel until the original is over.

At the moment, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is adapting the Culling Game arc. Following this arc will be the adaptation of the Shinjuku Showdown battle. At the current pace of the anime, this could take 3 to 5 years to be accomplished. Following the conclusion of Shinjuku Showdown, the possibilities of Modulo getting an anime are huge. Anime-only viewers who have grown to love Jujutsu Kaisen will be able to uncover the new and unique story of Modulo, which is set 68 years into the future of JJK. It's different from its predecessor, but is just as exciting, with a few amazing battles, and even superior character moments that also tie some major loose ends from Gege Akutami's original story.

All 25 chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are available to read on Manga Plus.
