Powerline adapter is the worst idea 😂, you would rather do wifi repeater to Powerline adapter. There's a reason why that technology is no longer used mainstream. The electrical interferences in the power line are just too much hassle, too complicated, too expensive and almost impossible to fix

Bios update still holds true.. Unless your current version has a problem or is missing any feature that you need. DO NOT TOUCH IT.

Back in 2015, majority of PC enthusiast didn't bother to buy separate sound card either, for most on board chip was enough. You are talking about 2000 not 2015.
