The publishers of the software and the operators of the accompanying online storage take the protection of your personal data very seriously.  We treat your personal data as confidential as well as in compliance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Notice.

Personal data are data that may identify natural persons. The present Privacy Notice contains explanations on the data we collect when you use the online storage and why we use them. Furthermore, it explains the purpose of this collection. We point out that online data transmission can be subject to security loopholes. It is not possible to fully protect your data from being accessed by third parties.

The party responsible for data protection is the natural person or legal entity that decides, either solely or jointly with others, upon the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or the like).

SSL and/or TLS encryption
For safety reasons and the purpose of protecting the transmission of confidential contents you submit to us in our capacity as the operator, the online storage uses SSL and/or TLS encryption. You can know that the connection is encrypted if the address bar of your web browser switches from "http://" to "https://" and displays a padlock symbol. Once the SSL and/or TLS encryption has been activated, the data you submit to us cannot be accessed by third parties.

Your rights within the meaning of the GDPR

Revocation of your consent to data processing
You may always revoke for the future any explicit consent you have given concerning data processing operations. All you have to do is email us an informal notification. The lawfulness of the data processing that occurred before submission of your revocation remains unaffected

Right to object to data collection in special cases and direct mail (Article 21 GDPR)
If the data processing is performed on the basis of Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons that arise from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which a processing is based can be found in this Privacy Policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can identify compelling legitimate reasons for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or processing has the purpose of enforcing, pursuing or defending legal claims (objection according to Art. 21 Sec. 1 GDPR).

If your personal data is processed to operate direct mail, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct mail. If you object, your personal data will then no longer be used for the purpose of direct advertising (objection according to Art. 21 Sec. 2 GDPR).

Right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of any infringements of the data protection regulations, the data subject has the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.  The supervisory authority responsible for issues concerning data protection matters is the Federal Data Protection Officer of the federal state in which our company has its registered office.  A list of all Data Protection Officers and their contact details is available at: www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the data we process by automated means – either on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract – in a commonly used and machine-readable format.  Furthermore, you are entitled to have these data transmitted to a third party.  If you request that your data be transmitted directly to another party responsible, this is done where technically feasible.

Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the Legal Notice. The right to restrict processing exists in the following cases:
  • If you deny the accuracy of your personal information stored with us, we generally need time to review it. For the duration of the audit you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal information, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert a claim, you have the right to demand that your personal information be restricted instead of being deleted.
  • If you have filed an objection under Art. 21 Sec. 1 GDPR, a balance must be made between your interests and ours. As long as it is not clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may be processed – except for their storage – only with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Access, blocking, erasure, rectification
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to receive free information about your personal data stored with us as well as about their origin, the recipients and the purposes of their processing.  Where applicable, you have the right to rectification, blocking or erasure of these data.
