10 Best AEW World Championship Matches, Definitively Reviewed
Tony Khan has booked some tremendous matches for the biggest prize in the company, the AEW World Championship!
AEW's World Championship Is Held by Jon Moxley
When Jon Moxley returned from a long layoff, he appeared to take on a more heelish edge. This turn was solidified when he viciously attacked his stable-mate in the Blackpool Combat Club Bryan Danielson after Danielson's title defense against Jack Perry at All Out 2024. At the following PPV WrestleDream, Moxley would defeat Danielson to become the new world champion and also beat down Danielson to the point where he left the arena on a stretcher. Moxley last defended his belt on PPV successfully against Adam "Cope" Copeland at AEW Revolution 2025.
AEW TNT Championship is held by Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia won the TNT Championship from the former champion Jack Perry in a match which took place at AEW Full Gear 2024. He made Perry submit to his Sharpshooter to win his first championship in AEW.
The International Championship is held by Kenny Omega
After returning from injury, it didn't take Kenny Omega long to win his first AEW International Championship. Omega won the belt at AEW Revolution 2025 in a near half-hour barn-burner against Konosuke Takeshita.
The Continental Championship is held by Kazuchika Okada
Kazuchika Okada defeated Eddie Kingston to become Continental Champion on Dynamite in March. Okada's latest defense happened against Kyle O'Reilly on the October 17th, 2024 Battle Of The Belts XII event. He hasn't wrestled since.
AEW Men's Tag Team Wrestlers
The AEW Tag Team Championships is held by The Hurt Syndicate
Since arriving in AEW, Bobby Lashley, MVP and the rest of the Hurt Syndicate have been laying waste to plenty in AEW. But once they set their sights on tag team gold, they got it when they defeated Private Party in January 2025 to win the AEW Tag Team Championship.

The AEW Unified Trios Championships is held by PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta
Prior to AEW ALL IN, there was a match to determine the fourth team in the London Ladders match at the pay-per-view. PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta defeated Top Flight and Lio Rush to move on to ALL IN. At ALL IN, they defeated The Patriarchy, House of Black, and Bang Bang Gang to become champions. Now, the trio are helping Jon Moxley with his reign of terror of AEW.
