Every year, the gaming industry enjoys dozens of conventions and events, and 2025 is shaping up to be no exception! With events focused on specific games like Magic or Dungeons & Dragons as well as general fandom conventions happening all around the world, you’re sure to find a con near you!

Trying to figure out which events happen where and when, though, can be a little bit of a challenge sometimes, but that’s what we’re here for! We’ve compiled a calendar that we’ll update regularly throughout the year to help you find a video game convention or event near you.

Updated on October 31, 2025: As we round out the 2025 event season with a bang, we're back with one more update to our list of gaming industry events and conventions to ensure it's as current as possible for the end of the year. We've had a blast at your events in 2025, and we can't wait to see you again in 2026!

January kicks off the year with an exciting bang, with CES - Consumer Entertainment Show - the first week of the year to show off a wealth of what we've got to look forward to in 2025 and beyond. The US might be pretty cold during the month of February, but the events in February 2025 start heating up early with the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas just before Valentine's Day, followed by a whimsical weekend at MagicCon Chicago. Bring your jacket for that one, though!

This early in the year, March is looking a little slimmer than last year, now that PAX East is happening later in the spring instead of mid-March like it typically does. At the moment, Game Developers Conference, better known as GDC, is the star of the month, taking place in mid-March out in San Francisco, California.

The month of April begins with a long gaming-centric festival happening in London with the London Games Festival spanning almost two weeks, offering plenty of different activities and exhibits during its run (including a variety of side activites around London that are yet to be announced that run the length of the Festival itself). For gamers in South America, we've got Gamescom LATAM in Brasil to look forward to at the very end of the month.

The Biggest Gaming Events In May

While PAX East normally takes place toward the end of March, gaming fans will instead be flooding the Boston Convention Center for the event in May this year instead, over Mother's Day weekend in the US. On this side of the pond, we've also got FAN EXPO Philadelphia the middle of the month, running practically in tandem with OtakuFest in Miami.

Overseas, event season is kicking into gear in May 2025 as well! We start the month with EVO Japan in Tokyo, where you can register to attend the event and watch the activities or even choose to register to play in it, too. Meanwhile, Europe is busy the end of May, with UK Games Expo in London at practically the same time as TwitchCon Rotterdam in The Netherlands.

We've got a couple different types of events happening in June 2025, with one live stream and one convention scheduled at the time of publish. The month begins in Los Angeles in the US with a stream of Summer Games Fest (SGF), before everyone who loves Magic heads over to Europe for MagicCon Amsterdam the last weekend of June.

The Biggest Gaming Events In July

The summer months are often the busiest for conventions in the gaming industry, and summer 2025 is already looking to be another good one! Anime Expo happens over the July 4 weekend for our American readers who may be interested to head to California to celebrate all things anime and games. Later in the month, Southern California sees its second influx of gamers for San Diego Comic Con, the longest-running comic convention in the United States.

But California isn't the only US state with a gaming industry event in July 2025! As we segue into August, consider heading to the Midwest for Gen Con, happening in Indiana beginning on July 31, barely making its way into the July section of our 2025 gaming events calendar.

There are currently only two big gaming industry events scheduled for August 2025 at the time of publishing this list, but they're no small conventions! In mid-August, our European readers will be heading over to Germany for another year at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, while our US readers will want to consider making their way to Seattle, Washington for PAX West, which always happens over Labor Day weekend in the United States.

At the moment, we've only got one gaming industry event scheduled for September, and that's the Tokyo Game Show, a two-day event happening in Chiba, Tokyo. We're sure to see some cool things unveiled there, even if we have to wait all of September to see them!

After a quieter September, October kicks things back into full gear again with an array of events happening all around the world. The second weekend of the month has major events happening in Europe, as well as in both of the Americas!

For our North American readers, consider heading out to New York City to check out New York Comic Con, while our LATAM readers may instead find themselves more apt to attend the Brasil Game Show in São Paulo instead. If you're in Europe, EVO is having its first expo on the continent in Nice, France on the very same weekend.

Later in the month, Southern California once again sees a wave of gaming fans as TwitchCon San Diego kicks off in the US. Meanwhile, in Singapore, we've got another exciting year of Gamescom Asia to close out the month.

At the moment, it looks like the US has the only two gaming industry events in November 2025. Fans of board games should consider checking out PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to see old favorites and discover even more new ones. We've also got another West Coast round of FAN EXPO in San Francisco.

December is currently looking a little slim in terms of gaming events, but that doesn't mean more won't be announced later! At the time of publishing, we know The Game Awards takes place every December, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for more information on that and other gaming industry events in December 2025.
