WTGL releases founding team rosters
WTGL announced its initial rosters on Monday
This winter will bring the WTGL to life thanks to TMRW Sports, and if it is anything like the first two seasons of TGL then it is sure to be a huge success.
Up until this point we had known some of the names set to compete within WTGL, but the exact specifics were not known. That all changed on Monday when the WTGL announced their five founding teams and their rosters.
- Atlanta Drive GC: Nataliya Guseva, Charley Hull, Andrea Lee, Minjee Lee, and Yuka Saso
- Boston Common Golf: Céline Boutier, Chizzy Iwai, Megan Khang, Lottie Woad, and Ina Yoon
- Los Angeles Golf Club: Aki Iwai, Alison Lee, Gaby Lopez, Kiara Romero, and Michelle Wie West
- Motor City Golf Club: Brooke M. henderson, Jeeno Thitikul, Lexi Thompson, Ruoning “Ronni” Yin, and Albane Valenzuela
- New York Golf Club: Linn Grant, Danielle Kang, Lydia Ko, Yana Wilson, and Rose Zhang
Motor City Golf Club is the first expansion franchise to hit TGL, and to date the only known member is Brooks Kopeka. Clearly though the WTGL team is obviously ready and outfitted.
You will note that Nelly Korda is absent from any of the rosters. Time will tell if she ultimately decides to join the fray.
