The Days of Play sale is now on PS Store, running from now until 10th June 2026. Not much time left!
As always, there are many, many PS5 and PS4 games going cheap, which means it can be a bit laborious browsing through it all.
In this list, we've put together a smaller selection of PS5 and PS4 games we recommend.
Each title has at least a 7/10 from Push Square, and they're all at their lowest price points, with some lower in this sale than ever before.
Discounted prices are shown in bold, and games at a new lowest-ever price are bold and underlined.

Here are our recommendations in PS Store's Days of Play sale.
1000xRESIST (PS5)
$11.99/£9.59 (-40%)
1000xRESIST is all in on story, and this laser focus allows it to tell one of the most captivating and intriguing experiences you can have in video games. This sci-fi adventure sees an alien disease almost wipe out humanity, but one person is immune, and they rebuild society underground by cloning her. Combining visual novel elements with exploration, it's not the most challenging game to play, but its narrative more than makes it worthwhile.
Assassin's Creed Shadows (PS5)
$38.49/£34.99 (-45%/-50%)
Ubisoft finally takes the fight to Japan in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Boasting dual protagonists and one of the most detailed, intricate open worlds in the entire series, Shadows is another emotionally charged tale of vengeance. The game pushes stealth-based gameplay much harder than its RPG peers, but doesn't shy away from crunchy, counter-heavy combat in the process, offering up the best of both worlds when it comes to stab-happy action. An undeniably strong entry in the long-running franchise, capped off with endearing characters and a surprisingly nuanced story.

Astro Bot (PS5)
$39.59/£42.59 (-34%/-29%)
Building upon the great foundations laid in Astro's Playroom, Astro Bot is the full-blown 3D platformer the little robot deserves. It's an explosion of creativity and fun; there is something new to discover in practically every level, and all of it is purpose built to put a smile on your face. Not only is it bursting with imagination, it's also executed brilliantly. The controls are spot on, every new mechanic and power-up is fun to use, and it's all presented with incredibly sharp visuals and flawless performance. The icing on the cake is its celebration of PlayStation's past 30 years, with delightful nods to hundreds of classics. We can't recommend this highly enough.
Back 4 Blood (PS5)
$5.99/£5.99 (-90%)
Left 4 Dead lovers rejoice: it's back, albeit under a different name. Back 4 Blood is a zombie-popping co-op FPS that tasks a team of four with surviving through numerous missions while fighting back the horde. It's a grisly post-apocalyptic romp that emphasises teamwork to overcome the sheer number of shufflers inching towards you. A card-based loot and upgrades system means that you can run through the campaign many times and find new equipment to use or tactics to employ. A great time with a few friends, the only ones groaning about this shooter are the zombies themselves.
Battlefield 6 (PS5)
$38.49/£38.49 (-45%)
Battlefield 6 is a phenomenal multiplayer experience that immerses and impresses with its chaotic mix of tight gunplay, best-in-class audio design, and the cinematic flair that made us love the series in the first place. The campaign isn’t anything to write home about, and Portal has yet to fully prove its worth, but they act as additions to what is easily the best Battlefield in over a decade.
Borderlands 4 (PS5)
$41.99/£41.99 (-40%)
The fourth main instalment in the Borderlands series tries something a little different, introducing a fully open world to explore as you hunt down bigger and better loot. While the formula is otherwise familiar, some of the rougher edges have been refined, making for a smoother experience overall. If you're a fan of the series' particular flavour, Borderlands 4 will serve you well, even if it doesn't totally reinvent the wheel.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (PS4)
$19.99/£17.49 (-50%)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered brings one of the best and most influential first-person shooters to PS4. Though it shows its age somewhat these days, the game's single-player campaign is still fantastic, with some particularly breathtaking moments still holding up very well. The multiplayer is preserved here, too, and is arguably the best part. Again, it's been bettered in the years since, but there's no denying just how much the online functionality of this title changed the landscape. It's still a lot of fun, and there's a certain charm to its simplicity.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (PS4)
$25.99/£22.74 (-35%)
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 superbly digs into the Dreamcast era of the Japanese publisher’s iconic output. While its commitment to arcade conversions means you’re missing some of the single player modes from the various included titles’ home console ports, there’s simply so much quality content on offer here that it’s hard to complain, with the likes of Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper having legitimate claims at being some of the greatest fighters ever made.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5)
$39.89/£43.39 (-43%/-39%)
Masterful in its storytelling, characters, and visuals, Kojima Productions went bigger and better with a sequel that comfortably dwarfs what the Japanese team achieved in its first delivery experience. Main character Sam is once again tasked with reconnecting a land mass to the chiral network, but this time his deliveries are further and expanded to encompass proper combat scenarios. Death Stranding 2 is a cinematic achievement on all fronts that will remain one of the crown jewels of the PS5 library forever.

Is cheap the correct term? Not compared to Steam sales.
I just wish Playstation would follow Nintendo and price digital games differently. Digital games should be significantly cheaper than physical games, especially in a sale. These “sales” are getting worse, especially if you compare them to steam or physical. In the PS3/PS4 era the Days of Play sale was a bonanza of deep discounts. Now you can get most of the good stuff cheaper elsewhere. Expect it to get worse as Sony is going to monetise the player base in their walled garden. (Rant over..)
@Joabra01Swe really, dude?
Generally speaking, the game discounts in this sale are not big enough to be tempting when balanced with my existing backlog.
Pity.
@Joabra01Swe 100% agreed. Some of these are still cheaper or the same price physically. Persona 3 Reload was $19.99 on Amazon before it was put on sale for $23.99, just for example.
Divinity Original Sin (the first one) is on sale first time in, I don't know, years. 75% off.
Maybe you should include it too?
I just picked up Hell Is Us (the Deluxe Edition was £19.49 for me until the end of the day) and the Metro Saga Collection (£4.99 and includes Exodus Gold Edition alongside 2033 and Last Light). 😊
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is also 50% off - and it almost never goes on sale. Finally grabbed it!
I have about 30 games in my Wishlist and they are pretty much all on sale, except for Lego Horizon. Seems a pretty weird 1 for them to exclude. My library has it, I'll borrow it eventually.
I may pick up early access Tower of Agasbah, The Knightling, and Chrono Cross b/c under $10 is my sweet spot.
"Each title has at least a 7/10 from Push Square" Looks like Mafia: The Old Country snuck in the back door then
@rjejr Check PlayStation Direct. I think the physical is on sale over there.
@naruball
He's outta line, but he's also correct.
Depending on where you live its still more expensive than what you get on Xbox, Steam/GOG and even Switch.
@PneumaPilot I'd like to pick this up but at 45% off, it's still almost twice as much as it's been on sale on previous occasions. I feel like if I buy it at this price it would be £10 next time or be added to plus
@CielloArc I've been buying games on steam for at least a decade now. I still don't see the point bringing it up, because it's irrelevant. Also, Steam sales used to be far better than they are now (same with psn).
@Mr_B021 Brother between 83-85% of ps game sales are digital. They aren't going to make it cheaper where all their customers are buying games at, lol.
@Blacksmith1985 Thanks for the tip! I've only ever dabbled in D:OS1 and adored its sequel - I'll pick up a copy in the sale.
$20 for the Marvel vs Capcom Collection is great. Even if you're just casually interested in Fighting Games, the fact it has the Punisher Beat 'Em Up is awesome.
I never gamble with my game purchases but dammit, I decided to grab Baldur's Gate III... From everything I've seen, it's going to be right up my alley BUT I'm scared that some of the D&D systems might prove overwhelming at first. Still, I got it for 40 USD so I hope I don't regret it LMAO!
I just checked the sub deals and as much as I wasn't planning to resub to premium, I kind of have to if it costs only around $6 more. They REALLY want people on premium I guess.
You couldn't pay me to play ac shadows.. ew and booooring
@For-Kier that's not how it works. Just because ps players have no other option, it doesn't mean they will buy games at any price.
I realised that the games I want I just buy on day one or within a few weeks/patches. Games I brought on sale in the past just never get played.
Finally picked up Shadow of the Tomb Raider to complete the modern trilogy - 85% off.
Was thinking Metro Exodus but note the Saga bundle is only a couple of bucks more but Exodus is supposed to be the best and prettiest. But worth sacrificing a morning coffee or 2 and get the collection??
Not much interesting here.
Katamari, Metro, are fine but even then for such prices.
Solar Ash/Shinobi are 'fine'.
Voice of Cards never heard of but seems 'ok'.
Yeah not a lot interesting here, nothing I'd buy anyway. I got my Katamari to try.
Metro if the next one is open world passing on it. Don't have Exodus as don't care to play it but did have fair time with the prior two.
Metro VR one seems fair.
I'll browse eshops a bit but even still, prices are eh and I wait it out or get things when I feel like it.
@PneumaPilot great game that.
Okay... after all those years of avoiding I bought all Resident Evil games (except Requiem) for about £50
I'm very tempted by Death Stranding 2 but I'm worried I won't like the moment to moment gameplay. Even considered upgrading to Plus Premium for a month just to try the demo but lol NO.
I never played DS1 and a friend nearly quit gaming after playing it for 70hrs 😅
@Joabra01Swe Actually wrong. Discounts are about the same on all platforms.
@3Above You should play DS1 first, especially if you aren't sure if you would like it. You could probably find DS1 much cheaper and it's on Plus Extra as well.
If you don't like DS1, you won't like DS2.
@3Above Bought it, I enjoyed first one on the whole, DS2 is far better in all the friction points but I'd still play DS1 first especially if cheap.
@1970sGamer @SleepyNick Thanks for the advice! I should say that I've watched multiple story videos on DS1 so I have a grasp of the narrative. (Cause i figured id never play it) Obviously I've avoid spoilers for DS2 though.
@Divergent95 you can take it as it comes
Most of these sales have the same games every single time. Assassin's Creed Shadows is in every sale now and so is Astro Bot. Astro Bot only takes 10 hours to finish and they still want over £40 for it, what a joke.
@Mr_B021 Couldn't agree more with you. Also with more and more retail shops closing it is becoming harder to trade in your old games and buy pre-owned games.
@rjejr Lego Horizon was in one of the recent sales, because I got it myself then.
@emmettk90 I'm sure it's been on sale before, but not this 1. Since I'll be borrowing it from the library it doesn't matter to me just thought it was an odd exclusion. Thanks though.
