Chazimuth  It seems pretty obvious that the developers are deliberately hiding part of what is happening there. The ending is framed as a mystery, suggesting that the trailer is not showing everything and that some things will be revealed gradually.

You appear to be the only person complaining about that moment simply because the trailer expects the viewer to use a little imagination instead of explaining everything immediately.

Those portraits are not AI-generated. They were hand-drawn by an artist, and the developers even published a devlog on the Steam page showing the process.

It is completely fair not to like the art direction, but suggesting that the portraits are AI-made without checking the available material is misleading.
