Oh look at that, an offline mode. So it IS possible. It's a nice reminder that most "online only" games only exist as online only so they can bombard you with the games store front and hock microtransactions and season passes.
Save for rare exception, I just stopped buying games at launch. When it goes on sale, I pay a lot less and get a much better product. I think I paid 7$ for Cyberpunk, 12$ for Jedi Survivor. You get the idea.
In a tough year for video games, the Game Awards nominations give some cause for hope It was? It was a tough year for mid to bad games (as it should be) and a great year for good to great games.
Earlier this year I decided I wasn't going to buy games new anymore save the rare exception. So far it's paid off quite a bit. I usually pay 35% (or more) less for a game and by the time I buy it, it's substantially better than when it released.
Wasn't Pacific Drive indie? If so...wtf? Pacific Drive was easily the best game I played this year. I generally compare it to Outer Wilds for the same sense of wonder it gave me.
The game was pretty but being the adventurer that I am, the FUCKING INVISIBLE WALLS absolutely ruined any fun I could have with this game. To make it worse, there were plenty of hidden areas that you would just assume was another invisible wall. I think I made it to Chapter 5 before throwing in the towel.
There was one big snub in the Game Awards nominations
Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a game engineered to succeed at The Game Awards, did not
The Veilguard did not score nominations for Best Narrative or Best Performance
Lol, extra lol, and *Nick Cage YA DON'T SAY gif*.. In all seriousness, you can't prop this up against God of War, Final Fantasy, Horizon Forbidden West, Baldur's Gate 3 or really ANY story indie game and tell me it wasn't badly written. The ONLY emotion I got through the whole game was...frustration. From the characters and with myself for spending the money.
I didn't see it mentioned in the article but did the author play this game?
Artists who worked on Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur took to social media this week to lament that the episode had been “shelved because of which party that won the recent election,” likely referring to Donald Trump winning the presidency and Republicans garnering a majority in the U.S. House and Senate. Conservative politicians have campaigned to ban trans and non-binary student athletes competing in girl’s and women’s athletics in recent years. Lol so when the episode was needed the most...they shelve it. This is also a great reminder for everyone out there for what companies truly and only care about.
The lawsuit says neither would have purchased the game “on the same terms,” i.e., price, knowing the game’s servers could be taken down, rendering The Crew totally unplayable even in an offline mode. Please. Yes you would.

Diablo 4 director on forced group content: ‘I’m sticking to my guns’
I'm unfamiliar with the content. Has anyone done it? What was the reward? Was it a unique boss or GraveLordx1000?
Oh boy, the new Snow White trailer…
Ahhhh I see. It was all just a big misunderstanding. She said "fairest" into the mirror, not "finest".
