The game never stated ANYWHERE that random means it randomizes from the 3 given choices. You are jumping to conclusions with 0 evidence. The option never said ocean. Never even implied ocean as random usually means... well random. Idk maybe if there was a 8th game in the series where random did exactly the same thing we would know what random means. But as we all know we went from Mario Kart 7 and straight to the 9th.

Also you need to google what dog whistle means because that was not even close to correct LOL. Don't use random buzzwords you have heard without knowing what it means, its cringe.

In Reply To @User Because going straight is faster then all that. Winning is fun so people (including casuals) will use the best strat for the most fun. This is a racing game after all and getting dead last because you grinded on rails at random is not fun.

The map should encourage people to use those mechanics to win. Not be punished for using them. That's bad game design.
