I can see a not-too-distant future where the MCU, along with several other properties, is turned into a series of AI-generated shorts and it makes me want to vomit.

I'll advocate for Fenyx until my dying breath. That game got almost everything right - especially the length. It didn't overextend its welcome with too much bloat and stayed fun for the duration.

POLYMember  but this is a Chris Nolan movie. It is entertainment. It’s not a historical record. Hell, Lin Manuel cast a black George Washington and dressed Jefferson as a pimp in Hamilton - and that WAS based on real people - and it turned out to be pretty freaking good.

It’s fine if this isn’t for you - few things are made for everybody and most things made for everybody are kind of watered down - but caterwauling about casting and using the ‘but my historical accuracy’ excuse is lazy and boring at this point. Go watch any number of other movies on the same subject for a more historical take if that helps. I’ll go watch this next week and enjoy it or hate it based on the actual product and not a preconceived notion of it.

Robert The Odyssey includes sirens, a cyclops, and a whole bunch of other mythical beasts. Even if it's loosely based on real events and characters, being mad about the color of an actress' skin, when in the next scene there's a giant with one eye or a six-headed serpent, is a baffling way to live your life. I'm not saying this movie will be great or terrible, just that people really need to chill out with their historical accuracy hot takes.

If this were a movie about Abraham Lincoln and he was being played by a Korean woman - yeah, I'd get the hate. But a 2500 year old poem written about an event that happened hundreds of years earlier? Yeah, I don't care who plays what. If you're bent out of shape on the casting it's a you problem.

I'm still amazed (actually, not really... not really surprised at all) at the neck-beard hate for a movie's historical accuracy when the movie is based on a fictional account of a war that may or may not have actually happened.

Everyone can do what they will with their time and will have a different perspective on ‘value’, but as a 40-something father of three who can’t game nearly as much as I used to, 20hrs is perfect.

I fell off this game pretty quickly because of the AI. I see what Giovanni is saying, but what it felt like to me was a game where success was overly dependent on AI randomness. If the AI makes boneheaded moves, you can win but it doesn’t feel satisfying. If the AI makes perfect moves, the game would just be suffocating. The end result was just not too fun for me.
