About Jason Venter
Jason Venter is a long-time gamer from beautiful Oregon who has spent much of his life inside playing games or writing. He contributes to Polygon to share those passions, after previously freelancing at sites like IGN, GameSpot, GamesRadar, and HonestGamers, among others.
What's your origin story?
Jason discovered video games while playing Mario Bros. and other old classics on an Apple IIe computer at the local elementary school, which led to an obsession with video games in general that persists to this day.
What's a recent obsession?
Jason spends his evenings with streaming shows like Severance and Only Murders in the Building, when he's not busy enjoying the digital movies and TV shows he collected for his home video library. Away from screens, he winds down by reading crime fiction.
