About Ford James
Ford James is a UK-based freelance games writer at Polygon. He also has bylines at industry-leading outlets including GamesRadar, Eurogamer, PC Gamer, and more. He mostly writes about FPS games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Arc Raiders, but is also partial to a decent RPG, roguelike, or sports game. He's a huge Pokémon fan, thinks The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the best game of all time, and has a degree in Games Journalism & Public Relations.
What's your origin story?
My first video game was Pokémon Blue when I was only a few years old, and I've played video games ever since. I started my own blog reviewing indie games when I was 18 before going to university to study games journalism, then after finishing my degree, I joined GamesRadar as a guides writer. The rest, as they say, is history!
What's a recent obsession?
Arc Raiders is the most recent game I've been truly addicted to, although that has recently been taken over by Pokémon Pokopia, which is a vastly different experience.
