Summary of changes to Nintendo Privacy Policy

On April 7, 2026, we made updates to improve our privacy policy. The updated version of the Nintendo Privacy Policy can be found here but, for your convenience, we’ve highlighted some of those updates below. We haven’t summarized all the changes, and the summary below is not a substitute for reading the updated policy. You should thoroughly review the updated policy to ensure you understand your rights.

  • We clarified that when we collect your precise geolocation information, with your consent, we will do so to allow you to check-in to specific events or Nintendo retail locations;

  • We provided more details around our retention practices to further specify that our retention of your data will be determined by various criteria such as the type of data collected, account activity or the services that you may use;

  • We provided more information about our collection and use of persistent identifiers such as IP addresses and device information to support the internal operations of our services; and

  • We made certain changes to our FTC-approved COPPA Safe Harbor company and with updated contact information.
