🏆 Berlin Quantum Hackathon 2026: Innovative Quantum Solutions for Mobility and Neurotechnology Awarded Over the past few months, Berlin Quantum Hackathon participants completed a successful application phase, collaborated in team-based problem solving with expert mentorship, and — yesterday — presented their solutions in the final evaluation. The Grand Finale at Change Hub | co-creating social impact Berlin saw over 80 young researchers, political representatives, students and professionals celebrate innovative quantum solutions for challenges faced by Berlin public enterprises. Under the patronage of Staatssekretär Dr. Severin Fischer, the international audience was in for a treat with the six finalist teams pitching their solutions using Quantum Machine Learning for decoding motor imagery from EEG signals – challenge provided by Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin - and Quantum Optimization for tackling the Crew Scheduling problem – challenge provided by Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). Teams were judged on Innovation, Technical Execution, Real-World Impact, Presentation Quality, and Scalability. The three top-scoring teams were awarded compute credits on the Kipu Quantum Hub. 1st place: €9k in compute credits are awarded to: • Mayo Clinic: Rickey, Charles, Feifei, Mikolaj, Michele (QML) 2nd place: €6k in compute credits (0.33 point difference) are awarded to: • The Depth Compressors: Pranav Kulkarni (QOpt) 3rd place: €5k in compute credits are awarded to: • Beerantum: Van Binh V., Nandini, Anna Kristha, Rudraksh, Ziwoong (QOpt) Big round of applause to the finalist teams: • Accenture: Enrico, Andrea, Maicol, Mats, Dr. Sebastian (QOpt) • Team quasi: A Seshaditya, Adriano, Aswin, Amine, Frederico (QML) QuTUBe: Jonas, Arian Malekzadeh, Uwe, Richie, Samuel G.
